With teammate Dan Atherton out in the early rounds due to a crash, Martin Maes was the team's only hope for a win today. Unfortunately he got beat out in the finals by Dakotah Norton. Second for the day.
Pushing just a bit too hard in the big final saw Maes kiss the dirt--hard. He was sore enough from slapping that he opted out of the second heat of the final.
New kid on the block, Dakotah Norton only start riding mountain bikes three years ago. Winner for the day. How about that?
Dakotah Norton certainly has something to smile about after today. He certainly has made his mark on this Crankworx.
