We recently headed out to Schladming, Austria with Brendan Fairclough to ride the new Gambler 710. Needless to say, this was only going to end with one rad edit.

After all the fuss about leogang being a bike park racecourse with schladming just down the road I was surprised to watch a video of Fairclough riding a bikepark course.
I remember schladming looking like a natural, rooty, rocky, down-the-fall-line type trail from WC footage. What's all the fuss about?
Schladming has more to offer than the World Cup track. And I don't think the director of the edit set out to prove how gnarly the World Cup track is, but rather to put together a rad edit highlighting the new bike.
Like ka-brap said, this video was put together for rather commercial usage and barely shows the track at all. If you check the helmet cam from recent IXS race there you would immediately see why Schladming is regarded way beyond Leogang will ever be: Here you go: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/368024/
They did start the video by having Brendan say how steep and technical the track is though, which is a little silly when the edit is almost exclusively bike parky stuff.
Great video though.
Part of why the Schladming track is a rider favorite is that it literally has everything- multiple line options, perfect corners, flowy bits, lots of technical wooded sections, jumps/doubles that favorably set the rider up to attack the next part of the course (rather than random tables on a straight motor way), and all of it is straight down an insanely steep mountain.
While it is rather exhausting to ride more than 8 laps in a day, it is not the most technically demanding course out there- pretty sure no one would make that claim. That honor would probably go to Val di Sole. That course is straight up murder.
i was riding at schladming a couple weeks ago, i can't wrap my head around the gap at 00:14. That thing is so big and gnarly. And also it's not even a jump or anything. It's right after the trail crosses a road and Brendog just bunny-hopped into it. Incredible.
The gap is really massive. When I was in Schladming a month ago I looked at it and thought "Oh, it's so big, only damn rad pro can try to gap it". Brendan is a real master of gaps. Awesome confidence.
Rad! But as always a bike promo video shows the skions from the rider ans not ESPECIALLY the bike... I mean, put downhill bike of your choice inbm Brendog's hands, and you ll see exactly the same thing ... The new Scott is still a awesome bike that s for sure!
i love the track! crashed 2 times there yesterday and will be there tomorrow again! got about 15 days in Schladming this season till now.
awesome riding from Fairclough! definitive need to work on my skills and try some of his lines.
aaaaand i also like the bike, could easily be my next one
"Hey Brandon - we're making a video to show off the awesome new suspension and handling of the bike. Would you mind slowing down just a little so you actually touch the trail? It's a little hard to see the bike in action when you just fly over everything."
That was even better than i expected. Brendan's riding style is so smooth, just looks like he is having a lot of fun ripping down the trail the whole time.
You haven't actually given me any information other than "Pinkbike doesn't work" so I'm going to assume it's operator error. Maybe you've made it a habit to not update your hardware drivers, operating systems, and browsers. Maybe your devices are too old to stream things at 1080p. Maybe PB blocks out things in your region for whatever reason? I can't imagine why but Youtube does it sometimes.
But if PB is working for everyone else, then it's probably something to do with your devices. Can you watch streaming videos on Vimeo with HD turned on?
My galaxy s4 is 20 days old and my computer is a year old with the latest software, and both play hd videos with ease but can't manage 240p on pinkbike..
it'll play briefly but loads at about 10 seconds of video every minute
Maybe pinkbike just doesn't like working in my suburb..
Did it drive anyone else nuts that he landed on the rear wheel so much? Is that how you are supposed to do it? I don't know, just kinda drove me bonkers. Not impressed.
-Who's there?
-Brendan Fairclough

Still a wicked video to watch. Just saying...

Sorry for the all caps. I just can't contain myself. Love the new Gambler and such a kick ass video of BrenDAWG shredding!
