What's Open?

It's a simple question with a less than simple answer. The good news is, lots of Fitz Zone trails will be ready to go for early opening. Sadly not all of the sections of the much anticipated and talked about Crank it Up and A-Line will not be in the mix for opening due to excessive moisture in some sections. As those trails dry out, we will open them accordingly.

Here is the breakdown as of Thursday (two days before opening):

Lifts:
- Fitzsimmons Express will be turning as of 9:30am to bring the first riders up and will run until 5pm.
- The Whistler Village Gondola will not be open to mountain bikers.
***Also, a quick reminder that the Bike Park will be operating solely with the new RFID style passes this weekend so if you are already in town you can swing by Guest Relations to pick up your new pass and avoid the lineups on Saturday!

Most years, Dirt Merchant is one of the trails typically placed in the "closed" list. This year that is a different story and it's going to open from day one.
