Attended this year as I have for like the last 7 and it was definitely different the production value was noticeably lower, the guy on aux couldn't decide on what song he wanted to play and the security Nazis were in even larger effect. 1199, crabapple whip off and corecross were definitely the highlights this year. Sad to see that they pretty much did everything they could to kill this for the future I know of lots of guys and groups that would love to still come and be part of the celebrations that will no longer. IMO they diluted slopestyle with so many extra events it was a lot easier to follow what was going on when you only had 3 big events per year and the ultimate prize being a win at RB Joyride or the triple Crown. Much more entertaining this way we all already consume so much sports and bike content I think that trying to follow another 7 slopestyle events every summer just has the opposite effect of getting people to tune in. Now combine that with absolutely ridiculous judging and a boring livestream and slopestyle will be dead after next summer I bet...

I think there should be a first second and third place, as there has been as well as a "people's choice" winner which stands next to the first place winner on podium, receives the same prize money and clout, and a equivalent trophy to 1st place. A significant win.
