Seasonaires Ep2 Paul Stevens

So you come for a season with a bunch of buddies and ride till you cough roost then head home once the summer ends, but what happens if you fall madly deeply in love with the place? Paul Stevens was once the young first timer dirt bag like Jack Noy and co. whom we saw in the pervious episode, but he made the decision to stay in Canada

that was tight. great highlight of the riding outside the park. I'll have to scout around next time I'm in Whistler.

Great vid, that rider has some real balls to just let off the brakes in some of those tech sections.

great idea... but really poor execution re: the filming... its apparent a non mtn biker lined up the shots... still a cool look into the ppl that make the whistler bike park what it is.

Why is it apparent a Non mountain biker set up the shots? Just wondering what made you think that?

The angles are brutal for the most part. This dude is supposed to be a filmmaker. But it doesn't seem like he has a great idea of what to expect from his riders like where they're gonna be in each shot

Ok, fair play, your opinion. Brutal Angles... never heard that one..."This dude" is me, I'm a rider, I have been for 6 years, I rode down every trail to film the riders, with backpack full of gear and tripods.I would say the filming style is not dis-similar to Alex Rankin's style in alot of the moving shots, Quick moving camera, staying tight on the rider, conveying speed, But i try to mix in shots showing the surround, really wide shots showing the epic river with a tiny black line cut through the green foliage. I don't see how i don't know where the rider is going to be... they don't spend much time out of the shot..

dunno maybe im just being too critical... think im just too used to the HD edits we see a lot of these days such as the stuff the coastal crew puts out. its all good... im really enjoying the series.
