I am right at 5'8" 30" inseam, and decided on a large after testing both large and medium I decided on large. I like the plow and stability. I swapped a 35 mm stem on so the reach is close to the medium. I have been able to manual some of the doubles on the local trail, but the hoppy poppy jumps are difficult. I wonder what other people who were on the bubble sizewise have experienced. I know sizing up biases me towards the plow.

(Ibis says 5'8" is the bottom end of the large range)

I’m similar in height and also have a large. It was all I could get at the time (late 2020) due to covid. While I have done my best to customize it, it’s still too big. This fact became very clear after riding a size medium. I will be selling it sooner than later.

5'7" on a medium with a 45mm stem The bike is a V1 though, so reach is even shorter than the reach on the V2 or AF (446mm vs 460mm on V2).
Reach + stem combo feel perfect for me. I couldn't imagine a longer reach as I would be too stretched on the bike. The bike remain very maneuverable on switchbacks and stable enough for my taste.

I'm 5'10" on a medium V1 and I think it's too small...it was a mistake.

5'7 on a medium V2 with a 30mm stem, and the bike is still too big despite my height being a solid medium on Ibis's sizing chart. I can still do what I want to do, it just takes more forethought and effort. Wish I'd have gone with the small. I can't imagine sizing up.

5'8 and a 1/2 on a size medium, one up carbon bars and 35mm stem. Fits like a glove. Absolutely perfect. My buddy is 5'9 and a half and he chose a size large with a 40 mm stem and loves it Smile

I'm 5' 9" with +5 ape index. I had both V2 sizes for a while with a variety of stems and bar widths. Settled on the Medium with 40mm stem and 800 bars. Best set up on the large was a 30mm stem with 780 bars. On the large, I had a hard time weighting the front wheel when tired and jumping and popping was a bit less fun. But both setups were definitely fun.

5'5" with ape arms and long torso. Size M v2 with 40mm stem and 770 bars. Feels about perfect for me. My wife has a small Ripley with 50mm and 760 bars and it feels tiny.

i rented a V2 in small when i was in MOAB

5'-5" or 5'-6" on a good day and the small felt perfect for me. I am curious how a medium would have felt.

5'6 (more torso than leg) and change and I went with a medium v2, My GF is same height but a bit more leg than torso and she also rides a Medium Ripmo AF. I had a small Evil Offering 448 reach and I felt I could use a bit larger bike for stability and with a 35mm stem and some 35mm rise OneUp bars the medium ripmo feels great while riding but it definitely is a bit harder to get off the ground compared to the smaller evil. That being said the 433 reach on the smalll meant the small ibis was 100% off the table.

5'10" on a medium v2 and I like it. 600mm top tube and 460mm reach is perfect for 5'10". 40mm stem.

5’ 9 & 1/2” with 30” inseam on a large AF. Originally ran a 40mm stem. Recently switched to a 32mm stem and it feels more comfortable. Manuals are much easier with the shorter stem. Steering is a little faster, but I don’t see that as a bad thing.

Never had a chance to try out a medium frame.

6' 2" and I went with a Large... rode a few XLs, but I like the L better... just replaced my L V2 with an L V2S.

5'8" on a medium with a 70mm -15 Paul stem on stock aluminum bars. My saddle is also pushed all the way back on the rails.

I guess I should update this.

I was given a small when I rented in moab (5'6" on a good day, short legs +2" ape index FWIW)

Depending what size chart you look at, I was between a small and a medium. The current size chart puts me on a medium.

I ended up buying a small earlier this year which ended up being traded for a medium last month and I prefer the medium 100%
