Shimano Launches Cable-Actuated XT Drivetrain
33% heavier, 17% more expensive, and chain slap is now an added feature. Not sure this is progress, but at least cable is still on the table.

Velouria Cycles Releases Even Flow Full-Suspension Titanium Bike
Love it! The 475 reach on the "medium" is a little too much of a stretch for me to be able to use the bike like I'd want to, but damn... I'm going to have to talk myself down before I make a foolish purchase.

Review: 2025 Knolly Warden - Pushing the Limits of Long, Low, & Slack
Knolly makes the best-looking bikes imo. I almost bought a Fugitive last year but just couldn't build up the courage to buy without a demo. Most professional reviews seem to range from lukewarm at best to sugarcoated dislike. But then there is a handful of Knolly fanatics that won't ride anything else. But that usually seems to be the nature of "boutique" bikes these days: they don't really work for the mainstream, but they work for a certain niche.

Review: 2026 Trek Fuel LX / MX - The Secret Menu Option
My steel enduro bike probably weighs 38 lbs, and I do climb on it. But my god does it suck compared to my 30ish lbs Ripmo.

First Ride: LJB Suspension - All of the Pivots
I'd love to try one personally. I like that people are still innovating. Having never ridden a bike with electronic suspension, it makes me wonder if the future of mountain bike suspension lies primarily along simpler suspension design with electronic control or more sophisticated designs like this.

Kona Bicycles' Parent Company Appoints New CFO, Intends to Sell Brand
@knightmarerider: Well, the downsizing is already done at least. Kent stripped the company to almost nothing, both in terms of personnel and real assets. I just don't want to see the Kona name slapped on a Huffy sitting on a rack next to the Lego aisle in my local Walmart.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Use Your Climb Switch?
@dllawson819: My coil-equipped Ripmo definitely benefits from the climb switch.
