True. On a different note, why would you need a specific tyre tread for enduro? I have a Spesh Butcher Control on my trail bike and TBH I've never felt I needed a faster rolling tyre even though I make quite some road miles and ride XC on it regularly..
I have a feeling it actually rolls faster than an HD while offering more grip and most notably, it's more predictable on loose over hardpack.
One tyre to rule them all, if it does what it it says on the tin, you make it £20 and shave off 20g every year, you've just cornered 50% of the market, just saying.
Hey nice video;tire looks good. Side blocks seem reminiscent of the Clutch, which I like. But what about casing? And weight. It seems 'enduro' tires re aiming for 1000g in 26".... Tubeless compatibility?
the geax goma runs a TNT technology. So it basically stands for tubes/ no tubes. so they're tubless compatible. As for the sidewall, if I remember correectly its pretty damn rugged.
For some reason I got terribly irritated listening to this guy's presentation, so I missed the last part.
Doesn't matter, I long ago stopped believing companies when they claim to have come up with a product that's a million times better than all the rest, over and over again.. I'll stick to my Hans Dampfs, perfect tyres.
@krdierckx - I dont recall them directly comparing this tire to any other or saying anything close to "this product is a million times better than all the rest". They simply explained their new tire and its features.
As far as a marketing presentation, it seemed pretty honest and straight forward. It could have been A LOT worse. I guess you dont encounter a lot of shady salesman types in your line of work...
btw Ive never used a Geax product, so I am not a fanboy.
@poozank - they 1st showed the tire at 0:45. for a 6min video that is basically right at the beginning...
It seems like you two might just be cranky, looking for something to complain about
hans dampf is the worst tire i've ever had. Albeit they grabbed super well, but I chewed threw the side knobs of those things. They do clear well through the mud though. Still better than a continental trail king.
That's a lot of talking. It's like describing a smell of a tire. We really know nothing till the first few corners. I think a video like this should be about a lot of slides showing how the tire interacts with a surface. Then a free set shipped to those who want to try it.
May we suggest try VEE Rubber Bicycle tires....regarding going through tires....great for the daily trails & such, just not race ready! They have a sweet 27.5x2.4....very aggressive, as well as a 29er that compares to a Kenda Small Block...
everyone has copied the minion. including the butcher. its tryed and true design for aggressive lean. instead of L shaped nobs theyre angled wedges to accomplish the same thing. then angle center nobs the with siping in different spots to transition well. looks like and excellent performer and a good choice of compound. not quite super tacky buy not a hard 60a, which i would prefer on the rear anyway, and cheaper to manufacture than double or triple compounds. a very competitive option for a front tire. should perform right next to the dhf and the butcher,
Oh sweet, I've been looking for this kinda tire, building up a sweet AM bike that I just wanna be able to thrash, need a tire that can save my a$$ when I decide to huck something or do something stupid!!
I have a Geax Datura and while probably quite a bit lighter than the Goma, it mounted tubeless with not too much milk without any problems and held air immediately.
Allso just hope they live up to what they say. The amount of money us riders spend on tires over the years is a hell of a lot . It's win win for tire company's you buy them based on what they say . But you can not send them back . This is not a dig at these tires just simply saying most of us have spent money for very little return . And one tire for all seems a big task . Ill be waiting for many many reviews on these tire before I buy .

Funny. Before watching the vid, I always thought Geax was pronounced "Geeks".
