I have some ugly-fat-fucking friends and i care alot about them. Maybe it's just me but i think some deep cutting irony might do more damage than some name-calling, not that barbarosza's comment had any manners tho.

good to see those boys digging and not just riding other peoples tracks like so many of the guides out there. heads up if you havnt got an adventure tourism number, the gov are starting to cracking down to make some money out of fining people. make sure your fully legal in spain, like you need a taxi license to drive an up lift van according to the law out there!!!!!
  • 21
pretty sure i'll get flamed for this, but...... roostdh whilst they look pretty damn cool and have a sweet setup and yes seem to be doing trail building in the video, have done a world of pain to DH tracks in malaga with 2 well established trails being shut down because of them and upsetting a lot of local riders on other trails...... do they have all the tickets to guide in spain legally?....not from what i have heard.

Make sure you dont get Roostdh and switch backs mixed up!
RoostDH have been out there for a year now and in there time they have helped build many a new track and the locals from bike shops to trail builders. There service is one of the best and the above all they are a good vibe the whole time to make your holiday what youd want. In my stay out there I have got to meet some of the locals who helped build A line malaga track. Top guys and good work. In fact since my stay i realised how putting your efforts in on a track count and have since started building my own .. so id say they were good roll models if anything.
Cheers for a 5 star experience and the sick week.. il be back out soon Big Grin

first off i just wanna say 15 minutes after posting that first comment, I decided I should remove it as I was only going by here-say.... and not actual first hand knowledge....but alas the time had elapsed and I couldn't edit or remove it. secondly having just spent a week with switchbacks, i don't have the two mixed up, but its probably fairly obvious where i get my here-say from. switchbacks seemed pretty genuine, and were to the point regarding roostDH. yes!, theres probably an unhealthy dose of competitor jealousy going on there, but i'm really struggling to see why would switchbacks be mouthing off about trails being shut directly due to roost if there was no truth in it.....trails SB's advertise, and were seemingly cream of the crop, trails they would be desperate to show folk to encourage repeat visits.

switchback are just as bad for riding other peoples and illegal trails from what i have been told. they are more established and have built some of their trails but they still use other peoples tracks, like the cable car track at belamedina. this was in a dubious state and there was talk of them being closed due to all the traffic they were getting from the trail companies. its all well and good having a biking holiday but think about where youre riding. pretty sure most people who have built trails would be pissed off if someone started bringing loads of people to your trails and was making money from them.

I'm amused of the geographic knowledge of the English! Big Grin I think the guys who ride the Norco and the Orange are actually the guys behind the profect. From their website everything is looking awesome! I have to go there some day!

Just got back from RoostDH 2 weeks ago, out there with the WideOpenMag crew. An incredible week of riding some amazing trails. Ben (head banging guy) and Mal (menu Reading guy) are top blokes and made our stay that much better than the norm. They even went out one day to fix the storm damaged trails we wanted to ride. Legends.Highly recommended. The video of our trip will be out soon at wideopenmag.co.uk, and hopefully here on PinkBike.
