2016 was a big year at the Blue Mountain Bike Park. We welcomed the return of Canada Cup Downhill Racing to Ontario, hosted a full week of clinics with Geoff Gulevich, saw major trail work completed on O-Chute, Fresh Air, and Minion’s Rush, and were stoked to see such a great response to our end-of-year rider survey. Looking ahead to 2017, we have a lot to get excited about. The Blue Mountain Bike Park will be open 7 days a week from opening weekend to closing day, taking our season from 114 days to 144 days. Trail Crew will also be breathing life back into a classic trail, so don’t just stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to, because Waterfall is coming back and we want to see you out there chasing it.
On the event front, the East Coast Open Canada Cup Downhill returns, and gets the ball rolling right after opening weekend on May 26-28. This means the race falls on the weekend immediately following the first Canada Cup of the year at Mont Tremblant, which we're hoping will make for an enticing reason for the Western talent to travel out East. The MEC Canadian National Enduro Series is also making its way to Ontario for the first time ever on June 25. This race is also part of the North American Enduro Tour and an Enduro World Series Qualifier. Of course, the elephant in the room is the opening of the Southern Comfort lift for biking. Based on our year-end survey results, it’s obvious that the addition of another lift is something that a lot of our riders are hoping for. While it’s not going to be happening this summer, we’re committed to growing the sport of mountain biking in Ontario and providing a great experience for our riders.
2017 Bike Park Season Passes go on sale Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Bike Show Special rate of $259 +HST. Prices increase to the Early Bird rate of $299 +HST on Monday, March 6, so don’t miss out! Season Passes will be

TL : DR? More days. More trails. More events.
MENTIONS: @bluemtnbikepark
Aside from the fact that I live three hours away from Blue, and all of the "extra" days are during the workweek (and since I work full time) the best that I could hope for during a season of riding is 6 days as I would have to camp overnight to make it worthwhile, so for me, its a wash. Even their race series is no good because they hold it on a Tuesday night. Can't do 3 hours of driving to race and then drive another 3 hours home to start work at 6 am. It might be great if you're local, but for everyone else, not so much.
For $224 (that's taxes included) I can get my bike park pass, water park pass, ski pass and one night free stay in the village at Bromont. I'd much rather do the 6 hour drive and stay for a night or two nights, then go to Blue for just the day.
