Video: We Actually Tested Our Bike From The Future - The Grim Donut Part 2
This bike test has created a proper argument for track specific geometry for racing. Pro racers have been keeping logbooks of suspension settings for various tracks for many years. But actual full on massive geometry changes based on the track have never really happened before. In downhill racing, Greg Mannar experiments more than anybody. Longer chain stays and angle headsets. Pushing the limits on frame sizing. Prototype track specific frames are probably going to be the future of pro racing.

Pinkbike Poll: Which Alternative Suspension Manufacturer Has the Best Chance of Challenging RockShox and Fox's OE Dominance?
Ed Masters team Bergamont(before he was on Pivot) use to run Dorados. Some privateers and smaller teams do as well.

Pinkbike Poll: Which Alternative Suspension Manufacturer Has the Best Chance of Challenging RockShox and Fox's OE Dominance?
Manitou simple because they are part of the Hayes group which can offer a more complete package to bike manufacturers in terms on OEM builds.Hayes brakes, Manitou suspension,Answer components, Sun Ringle wheels. At one point in the early 2000s they were a huge player in the OEM market. They have been there before and are best equipped to rise again. Not saying it will actually happen due to the stranglehold of the other 2 players. Being involved in downhill racing for close to 20 years, I have written lots of their stuff in the past and most of it was pretty good. But not all of it LOL. The Sherman forks and Travis forks????

Kenda Releases New Pinner Tire Developed with Aaron Gwin
It doesn’t look like a very good off camber tire or mud tire. The side lugs are not staggered to the centre logs. They are in line so one lug cuts a path for the next. I had a similar tire before made by intense and it was horrible in mud and off camber.

Pinkbike Poll: How Much Does the Bike Impact Racers' Results?
10% is 18 seconds on a three minute course. If Amaury Pierron and Loic Bruni traded bikes would they be 18 seconds slower compared to their own bikes? Maybe on the first run but given a bit of practice time I doubt there would be much of a margin. Anyone who thinks a different bike will make them 25% faster is buying into some serious hype.
