The last day of the 2018 Crankworx World Tour ended with style and smoke - local wildfires made conditions testing for the some of the world's best on the Canadian Open DH presented by iXS track. Despite the moon dust, and a seriously blown out track the Aussie racers managed to make sense of the Australian-style dry conditions - Tracey Hannah took the win in the ladies race and Troy Brosnan was triumphant for the fourth time in a row, nailing the 'fourpeat'.

The 2018 Crankworx season has now been put to bed and whilst the Aussies won on the day, Kiwi rider Sam Blenkinsop took the overall world tour win and was crowned King of Crankworx getting the most points out of any other rider. Although Jill Kintner wasn't racing the DH, she took the Queen of Crankworx title.

Until we meet again in Rotorua next year!

Is it dust or smoke? Whistler is as dry as a tinderbox so the trails are dusty and the sky is smokey from near-by wildfires

and real prize money for the king and queen of crankworx.
Weirdly I did not see any article about blenki and Jill K bringing home the overall crankworx victory and the 20K$ prize money that comes with it, congrats to them !

I'm liking how they have been putting the womans results first these days. Class! Recognition for those hardworking ladies.

" BC local Mark Wallace put down a clean run which set him into fifth place"..... And yet no coverage of BC local Magnus Manson who was on the podium and has had a great year without full factory support.

Hey PinkBike maybe a mention of the name of the rider wearing the 2017 Canadian national jersey in the Canadian Open.....Kirk Mcdowall is a badass and earned the love. Did I miss it or was there no pic of current 2018 National Champ Magnus "The Man" Son....? National Pride folks.....oh wait I think there is a pic of his butt but again no mention PinkBike?

It's racist to have national pride nowadays did you not get the memo. It's crazy!

Half the combined podium is Canadian. The other half, Aussies.

Two Aussies win the driest DH course ever. Shocker.

Pity you choose to miss some of the riders that beat those featured? Ruaridh Cunningham was the fastest Brit, having not been on a DH bike for over a year! He and three young Canadians beat many of those you choose to feature, inc; Bernard Kerr, Elliott Jackson. Are you sponsored to only show the pictures of some riders?....

Still makes me bummed when I look at pro women's DH times and know if i chopped off my penis I'd be on a world cup team getting paid to bike at my current speed...

i wanna see women busting into the men's times! i see weak skinny dudes whippin the bike around its not a muscle thing.... maybe a balls thing? haha
