After nine gruelling stages, the second-ever EWS-E race is complete with two mountain biking legends taking the top spots in both the mens and womens racing. After winning all but one stage Tracy Moseley took a very convincing win over Nadine Sapin who was nearly four minutes behind by the end of the day. For the men, it was another French domination at the top with the three Frenchmen in the top five. The other two spots went to the Portuguese riders Jose Borges and Emanuel Pombo. But coming out on top was Nicolas Vouilloz by around 20 seconds. Check out the full results from today's racing below.

You’re probably being sarcastic but the highlights of the stages (same highlight format w/Ric McLaughlin as ews) on YouTube (emtb channel) shows some insane climbs. That race was no joke - about 7-8 hours/60km of racing on three multi-stage loops.

@phclaw: Actually wasn't being sarcastic, it's fun to see what e bikes can climb.

@DoubleCrownAddict: Awesome - that highlight video showed how crazy the power stage climbs were.

Congratulations to all,but especially for the Portuguese Miranda factory team ,just amazing results from them ,keep it on ,and that E ews are for retirement people ,just look at some that also compete in the EWS and doesn’t do so bad in that sport and yet have to struggle to achieve good results in the E ews one ,and I think that the E ews is gonna be more and more and more ,cause you know ,BÓRA LÁ PESSOAL

It'd be interesting to compare the times on the pure downhill stages between E ews and ews. Conditions are pretty loose and emtb excels in loose conditions. Will that overcome the tight course though?

climbing stage, more than likely some of other females racing her are smaller/lighter and have an advantage on the climb stages due to power to weight ratio of the bikes engine
