Martin was given a task to choose three bike parks in any location in Europe and had to reach them within a one-weekend time frame, completing special challenges on the way. He decided on three of the hottest bike spots in the Austrian Alps, and hit the legendary jumps, dared drops and downhill tracks in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Bikepark Königsberg and Bikepark Planai.

Stay tuned for more since Martin is not the only athlete being challenged this summer as Hannah Barnes is set to take on the mission next. But that is not all, for the cherry on top, you will have a chance to be a part of the mission, win weekly prizes from Garmin, or go on a road-trip with Martin and Hannah. Keep an eye on http://bit.ly/BMWMountainsOnAMission, since August 21st will mark the day your mission will be revealed.

Martin seems like such a good dude and has some of the best style in the game. We don't see enough of him anymore! But dear auto industry marketing teams, please stop with these commercials! I don't blame the riders (I'd gladly ride for a car commercial for paycheck if I had the skills), but I can't think of a single one of these silly commercials that didn't miss the mark. Want me to consider buying a BMW? Show me three minutes of Martin actually riding those mountains. Cut the fluff. End it with "brought to you by BMW." That'll impact my opinion far more than these wannabe Top Gear segments.

/rant. Carry on!

guess what, pro riders need to make money too !!!!!!! I bet you have tons of videos and edits that are sicker than this, but I'm actually very happy that finally brands are catching up. Nobody is forcing you to watch these videos man !

Exactly right BiNARYBiKE! That Vid was cringe-worthy.. Give Martin a Film-Crew, have him go nuts in those Bike Parks, show him getting in his BMW and drifting away at the end.. maybe that spot is aimed at Children who dont know what mountainbiking is.. what would they need a BMW for though?

"I've never done a backflip in a bikepark before." Says one of the best Slopestyle riders ever... I call BS.
Also does Saalbach actually not have one single flippable kicker? What a shitty park then.
Probably wanted to make the backflip seem more epic with the extra shaping crew.

@colincolin: That wasn't even Saalbach, that was Hinterglemm. Saalbach is super rad, Hinterglemm is kinda pathetic (given all of the options and landscape they have to work with). When Saalbach is open, it's almost never worth while to go to Hinterglemm.

And good God, that video was so painful to watch. Poor Martin...

Three bikeparks and one fat paycheque Wink

But they spelled out THREE SIXTY with letters!

"From now on, Marge, we spell everything with letters. That's just the way Max Power is!"

 Or just do 2 edits:
- one over-scripted-strory-telling-blabla-edit (like above) that your big national lifestyle PR agencies spread in mainstream media channels
- and one shorter, authentic action only edit, for core media.

PS:
Martin is one of my top 5 favorite riders since 2007, great character & style! He has had so much bad luck with injuries for 3 years.
I love BMW (being born, raised & still living in Munich) and think it's great that they get into mountain biking on an international level.

I'd just like to point out that his English is great and that video didn't need subtitles

You'd think with Martin's skills & BMW's budget this would be awesome, but

What a boring video, so sorry for Martin to have to do this. His Nac Nac is still prime though!

Oh cool, an expensive car that I would need to take my wheels off to get my bike in. No thanks. I'll stick to my trusty wagon any day of the week.

"next up: Hannah Barnes" normally every coverage with hannah is mint .... nevertheless i am very afraid of what bmw comes up with Frown

Other sport athletes out there (like football, golf, basketball...etc) gets paid with millions of dollars and usually whine and fake their injuries when the pressure gets tough as an excuse........... Our riders should get more financial & moral support. MTB Athletes & riders almost always will deny their injuries if they get injured......... And another thing is that they usually receive financial support from fund raising campaigns when they get inured or if they cannot pay their own medical bills.

Cause calling it a 'challenge' will automatically get people to watch it ????‍♂️

Pro tip: you also have to remind the audience that its a challenge every 20 seconds or it doesnt count

That BMW looks so cool, I bet it can backflip too under the right conditions.

Dear BMW. If you want us to buy your cars, build us one we can fit a few bikes inside without having to dismantle them. We don't need videos like above.
