I crashed out so follow XCO World Cup racer Annabel Bligh for a lap around the Mont-Sainte-Anne XCO World Cup Course. This definitely the most technical track on the circuit, the video doesn't do it justice!— Matthew Fairbrother
Imagine doing this for 5-6 laps… I have nothing but mad respects for all XC racers. The sport should deserve the same fame from fans as downhill has.
Worldwide there are more XC fans than DH fans... I don't know about this year's statistics, but when RedBull broadcast the races the viewership numbers of the XC races was almost double the viewership numbers for DH.
As a DHer, I fully agree. It's a full-on sufferfest and not for the weak or unfit. For those reasons, I'm out,
But I also have a ton of respect for them and even watch the women's races when I get a chance. PB began as a freeride/gravity site, so the bulk of the XC fans are on other platforms - and there are a lot of them!
Welcome to Canada eh , a proper mountain bike course some tech some gnar climbs flats, maybe a few opting for a bit more travel up front.
In the wet its going to be terrifying.
