Christina has been down in the desert of Virgin, Utah, home of Red Bull Formation, all week long following the athletes and checking out the venue throughout the dig days. Home of Formation 2019 and Rampage 2015, this hillside still offers up plenty of options to resurrect old features and create new ones. Join Christina as she checks in with the riders to chat about their lines, the inspiration behind them and catches some of the very first hits on the course.
Super impressive. That fall line double drop that Cami rode looked hectic. Dang. Hope everyone stays safe, love the media coverage and really wish there was some live format to watch.
That angle from the bottom where they were interviewing looking up really shows how videogame-scale large Cami's fall line is eh. Going to be burly. Send it Cami!!
So many rad lines. Vinny Lone Wolf McQuaid's line. The Fall Line.
That initial diving board drop-in Hannah Bergmann was pointing out is top of my list though. That is just silly technical.
Massive respect. Working with so little traction too. We rode in the area and there was near zero traction for small corrections, little off line and that was your new direction. Sketchy af
Damn, this now looks like proper Rampage! Compared to the previous years where it seemed that most riders "just" pick a old feature here or there, they are now really building their own lines and pretty f'ing gnarly ones at that, mad respect!
Damn, these ladies are stepping it up each year! Conditions in the dez have been brutal this spring. Hoping they get some wind free windows to send it!
"This is your brain on desert freeriding."
