Do Specialized have a good selection? And have you got any plans for an upgrade? Mine's similar, although it's just a standard shock with a rotated eyelet. What shock is it you've got at the moment?

What is she like to ride? Also, are they 27.5" wheels or good old 26"? I'm not very good at distinguishing them apart. Looks really good though!

26 Sebastien! It's a sick wee bike, I had a shot and now want one! Feels like a mini downhill bike, but is hella light. It just feels right, and it's a size too small for me.

Aye, Sam summed it up pretty damn well. It's super capable, 150mm travel and 26". Got a nice low bb and short rear end so it's nimble and railable. Not got an accurate weight yet but somewhere around the 28/9lb mark.

Awesome! Sounds like the perfect bike if it can do DH stuff and is light and nimble! I wouldn't mind a short travel bike like this!

Haha, it's pretty darn rad. Only things that it could benefit from would be a beefier fork and shock. A pike a CCDBA would be nice!

You to man. No kona, sold it. Realised it is just too flat down here. Got an on-one 456 carbon to built, bit more sensible at the moment! Hahaha

Fair enough! Those frames seem pretty sweet.

Yeah, had one before. Long travel aswell so should be good!! Hopefully get moved back to Lossiemouth soon so I can get a proper bike!! Haha

Sweet, a ~140mm hardtail would be something I'd love for hooning around on and less gnarly rides, unfortunately funds wouldn't allow that and I'd rather make the stumpy even better!
For sure, you need some real riding!

You're shock setup looks similar to mine, is the rear eyelet rotated 90 degrees?
  • 1 0
Yeah, except the eyelet is some wank proprietary spesh design where it mount direct to the yoke with no bushing. So if you want a different shock, gotta order it direct from spesh.
