 Dude - Fully agreed man
it amazes me how sensitive everyone can get about claiming originality! then you have the magazine whores, and the wannabes, and then the anti wannabes and all sorts or hardcore wannabes - shit man this is Just bikes...and yes it is just another bike that looks like another that is a mirror image of that other, and a carbon copy of the last but built up differently. In the end it really boils down to what company you wanna support, what colour you want, and who backs their warranty, and how they go about doing it. Some people like big box companies, some people like the small ones and there are issues with all. I agree with UNDERCOVERFREAK - they all work in a similar fashion and yes you have some Jamis in there, and some intense and whatnot with some mounts moved here and there, and gussets added and removed...Bikes do break at some point in time depending on how you use it as metal will eventually fail under stress. The thing that kills me is how everyone makes such a big F%$&ing deal about originality when there hasn't really been anything that New and exciting in frame designs unless you want to go all out with Gear Box stuff, or some of that out of control Nicolai designs!

as for ROUGHANDTANGLE - I am all down for checking out a new company where someone does have an engineering background and does have an understanding that can eliminate that whole"trial and error process" being awesome riders like kevin and kyle is one thing however being a truely proficient bike designer and engineer is another....... so bring on Cokane bike co coz this industry is in serious need of some better engineered bikes!

i don't see whats so special about...ok, they are spot on with the bike and its components but i just think its tiring that so many companies are starting to launch unimaginative frame designs and then just slap a-class components on them thinking they have created something great...half of today's bike just look the same and work very similarly!

yeah toally...i mean there nothing special about the frame...its just a catchy color and the 36s are a nice touch but theres nothing new

Are you guys serious? Read what you just put. Do you really need to have these wild crazy frame designs? Haven't you guys thought that maybe being simple is better for certain purposes and uses. Why on earth does having fancy brackets, sh!t tons of welding, and a zillion bearing/pivot points make your frame better? Is it the looks that shave those extra couple seconds off if you are a racer, or make you go higher and farther if you are a freeride/dirtjumper?

I think all the tech freaks and people who think a bike has to always be flashy, and always changing should sit back and re think their views on biking. After all we are all here because we love to ride... not jerk our bikes off.

yeah, thats why i am trying to start my own bike company, with intensely engineered designs, but a good CNC costs 50 grand + the costs of a welding shop + the costs of incorporating make it impossible for me right now. But look out for cokane bike co. in the future...

Lol... I dont think any drug related name will get you anywhere these days...

ok undercoverfreak, i can see why u think that way, but transition is completely rider based, and they make bikes for real riders cuz thats who they are. their bikes are indistructable, the bottlerocket is a perfect slopestyle bike, tough, perfect travel so as to make it manuaverable, low top tube, dh components, this thing rocks!

your a fag robinator... kyle young is a rider... kevin menard is a rider... they are both pretty decent riders, and they own the company... i dont know what is biased about that... it seems like fact to me... then they build bikes that they like because thats what other people will like... and just because some no name website said something bad about transition is no reason for u to trash their name... so why dont u do some research and shut the fuck up... if all bike companies had riders as their owners there would be a lot more awesome bikes to ride...

jeese rough. Chill out bro. Go buy some bigger panties. no need to get so wound up over an internet post.

that catalog bike comment is from a complete retard... these bikes are build by riders using trial and error methods... they might not have the engineering mind that I and many others have, but they do have a passion for building bikes... i dont think they know much about strength of materials or truss construction, but they have their bikes down... so robinator u might wanna learn a little about that so u dont make urself look like a retard, because a bad weld can happen here and there but the designs on this frame would stand through many others on the market in a theoretical test of strength...

For some reason I cant reply to Drewfunk. First of all, you are an 11 year old newb who knows nothing. Riding urban with dualsuspension is for pansy ass kids. Learn some technique and how to bike and it wont hurt as much. Look at pro BMXers, they ride way harder street than anyone on a mountain bike. No shocks!!!! And if I were u, I wouldnt be talkin bout huckin of rooves (by the way, its "roof") until u take ur dual suspension and huck it off a damn roof. nuff said. oh ya, 4 all u people who say transition is crap, up urs. Transition is a great company who makes great bikes.

That bike seems awesome, and that's exactly what I was looking for ! Compact frame, means it must be easy to handle, really good looking, and affordable... what more ? And the frame have a life warranty, Transition rules !
This bike seems to be a real slopestyle/freeride/dirt kick ass bike .. An all-arround bike for serious stuff ... I definitly will take one !

Stop speaking about catalog bike, ride one of those before spiting on Transition with no reason ! "but I am tempted to say this could be the most fun bike I have ever ridden", I trust the guy who's RIDING one ! Not the asswholes you say stupid stuff without ever had touched one ...

but i dont wanna take anything away from the guys at transition... they make bikes for riders... because they are riders... their geometries are mint and they are starting to get their leverage ratios dialed pretty nicely

to the guys who talk negative about the bottle rocket, you probably have never even rode one of these. there the sickest ever and u can huck like hell. so shut up.
