Will do.. was attracted to the generator wheelset as it is based on a sun ringle rim and spoke so is very standard.. the trouble with many of the higher end wheels sets is the spokes are not standard so replacing bits in the future is more expensive as I found out with the xt wheelset.. $12 per spoke.. I needed 6!
Yes, for me cheep rims are thick spokes are the way to go.
I ride Alex rims which are cheep but last for a good while.
The shimano rims and other brands look really cool but replacing things gets tough.
The new yellow spark looks great!
Good choice!
Personally, I've never been a big fan of direct pull hubs or even worst, any non standard or model dedicated spokes that will get obsolete a few years down the road,,,the weight saving, stiffness or aero benefits are so minimal on mtb wheels that I just can't justify going with anything else than a straight up J spokes setup...
great question. I'm told it should be arriving this week. It's Wednesday and I'm losing hope. I have been riding 2-3 times a week on the rune and loving life so I can't really complain. I ride with a guy on a hardtail that inspires me to follow suit so I can't wait to build that stylus and roll!
