Kona was nowhere in 08 in DH and will continue to be nowhere until they invest in a new frame design that doesn't weigh the earth and pedal like a donkey - still sure plenty will buy it just because its white!
That was stupid. Fabien Barel and Tracy Moseley won so many world cups and championships.
Have you ever tried Stab Supreme. I have and I then ended with it. It pedals better then V-10, very stable and great bike. It is not the bike though, it is the raider you retard.
tomo, please shut up... we are talkin' about bikes not about politological problems of different countries... relax this Kona is great.f*ckin; great and Guys,I ride Stab supreme from 2005 and the frame is not so heavy as U think... right now,my bikes weights 19,02 kg. I don't think it's "lightweight" but without any problem I can drop the weight to 18,maybe 17,5 kg. In my opinion,Kona is investing in SS and FR scene at the moment, couse they think it;s more important. and that's what I am thinking to. by the way Tracy still rides for KOna,and she's rippin' quite hard so we can say, that's not about the frame...
I agree, they need to put a little more money into a new frame design and I TOTALLY disagree with patryka. Saying a Kona pedals better than a V10 is like saying I am faster than Sam Hill..
frdh I still say the same. V-10 is a great bike but it has lots of travel and lots of sag. Works up and down. Especially slower at your start! Try it man and you will know what I am saying. V-10 is defenitelly great bike but after checking some bikes I do not believe any longer in those marketing bla bla bla like VPP is the best or maestro or DW-Link. I had the oportunity to check Commencial in Austria and it felt also absolutelly great. And my Stab Supreme feels great as well and for me personally it is better.
And once again after some experience with bikes I say it not the bike it is the rider.....but
Bikes are not the same. Some are better from others but if choose from factories which have experienced in DH like Iron, Kona, Intense, Santa Cruz, Yeti and many others you cannot go wrong!!
maybe too much white, but im glad that most bikes are getting away from all black detailing as in the previous years. I think this bike will grow on me!
this bike is stunning, and the white part? i think it looks good. its modern and smart. maybe a different coloured frame tho, or a choice of colour. it is sweet
This bike is only too white on display - one good ride and it'll be perfectly highlighted with dirt accents. Square top tubes are heavy though. Design of the Stab hasn't changed much at all since early 00's - one of the few bikes that hasn't evolved much (guess that means they haven't gone backwards...like the 09 norcos .
what i like about this bike its not like the last couple of years its so light the other ones had such dark coulrs and with the white it will get dirty but it will show how much u ride
now i might even consider buyin another kona(worset purcuse i have ever made in my life).................not the horrible colors same old disgusting f*cking frame change it up
I'm a little surprised they didn't put on the hayes strokers with the white calipers and lever body. While we're at it, they could have used white housing too, to complete the brilliance.
ohh a heavy ass single pivot with chunks of metal like the 'dope" system to try and compensate for its shitty design. all the weight is high and it makes this bike corner like a piece of shit... i tested the 08 stab and was not impressed
