what ever happened to park edicate. thats coming from a biker and skater. and in my days of skaten the bmx'r would have been punked down and left bloody on the concret. but thats also why i can't go to a skate park in ohio and legally ride my bike

YUP. I'm in DC and same story. So, I get up at 6am to ride while all the skaters are recovering from drinking too much Pabst (or their Moms are waking them up for school).
Problem I encounter, is that the wood-pushers don't respect drop-in order when I'm around... But, how much can I say when I'm not allowed to be there in the first place.

in scotland like 9/10 places allow mtb's never mind bmx's. no controversy, we usually get along. we work as a team to keep the jakye neds at bay :L

skateparks around here never bother with bikers anymore. If we hit someone its not going to end well for the skater though. We carry more inertia through mass and speed, and to top it off we have more control... at least in general. It used to be much different say a year or so ago though, bikers would flee when the cops came.... very lame

It's fully legal in Mississauga to ride at a skate park lol never used to be up untill a couple years ago

There is a Equal side. Some Skaters Are Just in the Sport to be Pain In the ass and think they are soo cool. the Other Side is Some Skaters Just Skate to have fun and do somthing either then sit at home. and same with BMX some Bmx'ers think they are so bad ass when they Rip apart a bench for a little Kicker and then there are others who just ride for fun and get out Maybe even escape troubles at home between parents Just think a little before you Post a comment

BEEN THERE! Riding a big line in a park, and an idiot woodpusher drops in, takes me out, and his board destroyed 4 of my spokes in my front wheel. At least he got more messed up than me, and the end of his board was chipped to hell!

The thing is... You guys all ride the same park, so share it. Whether you're a "woodpusher", a "20incher" or even a scooter rider, just look out and think about the safety of all. Doing just that will save you hospitalisation costs, hardware costs, injuries and hate

You know, the one or ones who gave me negative props... I really don't care. The whole "prop"thing here is way too overrated. I know what I am saying and I know that most people will in this case respect what I said, and even if they don't give me positive props, I know they're here and share the same thoughts. sorry to say this but i think this collision was probly the bmxers fault because it looks like the skater was grinding n then the biker came from the other side n boosted right into him.. n ive seen it from both sides. i used to skate n i was always pissed off when the bikers would flow in the middle of the park across all the lines n now i bike n let the skaters go n hav park manners cuz atleast at my local park most of the people r skaters n r like crack heads.

eric palmer has the right idea here. there is nothing wrong with skateboarding. people really need to get overthemselves and take a step off of there throne and realize that biking isnt the only "cool" thing out there. hell bikers should thank skaters, if it wasnt for them, there would be no parks to ride because they started it all. you have to pay respect where respect is due.

Well, after a pleasant reading experience viewing the little arguements above, i will now state my opinion.
This is a funny picture. I know a few skaters ,scooterers(sp?) and bladers, that in fact are nice people. We happily share a park when its busy and we wait for eachother to finish their lines. We all have a passion for our sports and sometimes we get in eachothers way but sh*t happens y'know. What does annoy me however, are people who sit on the ramps for a hangout (which is common at my local park because they have a youth club right next to it and little kids slide down the ramps on there arses). Neg prop me if you wish (oh no, some kid has clicked on a little red down arrow. how will i live?) Just giving my honest opinion.

And I agree with ericpalmer 100% people need to lern that everyone has there tallent and evan if its not biking. It dosent mean you have to diss them because they ride or do something diffrent people are so stupid and fight over the stupidest things and most of the time make there self look like the jackass in the end 'Example' Jettxc....so Mad props to all the Bikers,Skaters,Blades,Snowboarders, and any other sport i missed....people just have no respect for others and its soo anoying. i hate where everyone brings the fact it's called a skatepark. Just because it's called skatepark it doesn't necsseairly mean that it's for skateboards my local is built 100% for bmx but it's still known as a skatepark but it doesn't give skaters any rights over us. Really i say just watch out for each other then there isn't going to be no problems between bmx'ers or skaters

As for this photo: I'd kak myself If I was a bystander at the scene, always scares me when I see people get hurt badly. I mean look at those two in the photo, I mean seriously have a proper look.(Ok so let's ignore the shadow(s?) **grins**..) Look at the skater's right leg and foot position (snap/ouch). Look at the skater's position in relation to the lip of the vert (oh my word!). Not to mention the rider of the BMX who is about to visit Body-Slayum Boulevard! They're both about to go down HARD!
However as it's just a photo with an outlandish statement, I can't really feel proper emotion so I'll give it a LOL rating of 5/10.
N.B: All dewds that play any type of extreme sport should stick together. The only people that "JUST GET IN THE WAY" are the maximum jack ass authorities and police that keep taking our facilities away from us. kthxbye

one tima at the courtice sjate park this old guy who skated brought his kids there and somehow they ended up in the bowl and i wanted to drop in but i couldnt because these kids were stuck in the bowl i went up to there dad and asked if he can please get his kids out of the bowl then i heard some rude mumbling about bmxers

like somone said up there,If there is a really good skater doing there thing ill respect them, like at least there doing a sport that ivolves a skatepark/ stairsets etc. But when there is a 12 year old that sits there ass on a skate board and rides down the ramps like that and stuff thats what pisses me off, and yes everyoen takes there turn this is 100 percent the skaters fault we all jsut have to keep our eyes open.
