 Wy is his stanchions so .... yeah. I know the new ones are black but these ones dont look so good.

 im pretty sure its just the reflection of the oil and grease off the black, a normal boxxer does the same thing you just dont notice it.

 Ive had a couple of 888s with black stanchions and i never saw this much oil stains. Ever. Maybe a tiny bit on the nickel coated ones but not anything near this. They look almost overheated.

 well considering it is Fort William heating could be an issue but i can guarantee you they are running some proprietary stuff in those things that may give off that reflection.

 theses stantions are different they arent dull like the mazo ones are they are coated with some thing which make them shiny, but it gets rid of the friction between the stantion and seals.... but i still think they look ugly Razz

 Sigh I think rockshox know what they're doing, there is meant to be oil on the stantions. These new stantions are porous, so they absorb oil making them slide more freely. This is much different from oil leaking onto the stantions of your old marzos.

 that's how nickel coated marzocchis look too, but it looks great in my opinion (and no it's not bad)
