Thats one sweet-ass bike. I would put some wider bars on myself though. 720-750mm

No one makes a sub 200g bar in anything over 660mm.

Yeah but its worth 100g for better performance and feel.

 Not to me.

I don't undertsand why you would sacrafice performance for weight.

Then you'll never understand why I choose a lot of the parts that I choose. Razz Honestly I've never really found the need for anything over 660mm wide. Race Face does make a Next SL carbon bar in a 3/4 inch rise that is 660mm wide, so I may pick those up, but they're quite expensive.

I undertsand most of the spec. For example there is no point in having a heavy seatpost but when a few grams means you have more leverage, control and stability I don't see why you wouldn't accept those few extra grams and reap the benefits.

The seatpost is moot actually, since I have a Specialized Command Post on there right now. Honestly I feel really weird on wide bars. I'm so used to riding narrow handlebars that anything over 660mm feels really awkward to me. On my hardtails I usually cut my bars to around 580mm.

ok fair enough. I used to run narrow bars a long time ago and disliked it muchly. Each to there own I guess.

Seraph, it's all about the Edge composite bar. Git sum!
  • 1 0
Maybe. The Edge bars are about $20 more than the Race Face, and the latter has gold accents.
  • 1 0
Seraph, you hatin. Your bike has some white accents on there that I can see, the Edge bars will make you over 67% faster, I know this because I did it.

Either way, I don't have that kind of money to spend on the Nomad right now. I'm still paying it off.
  • 1 0
Hahahaa, really? Damn, I guess. I'm still paying for my Wanga and kinda sorta for my Stumpy (Which is f*cking awesome)

1.) They weren't available when I was building this bike; 2.) I don't have this bike anymore.
  • 1 0

 He needed money or something.
  • 1 0
and that bike is worth a lot of money.

I sold it because I needed to pay off some bills incurred after I purchased said bicycle. There will always be more bikes.

and there will always be more bills to pay for said bikes.

Most of the money on the bill was not because of the Nomad C. I have had expensive bikes before. Working in a bike shop helps.
