hows the dhx on there? ive still got the rc4 on mine but am thinking about switching it out to save some weight - any input?

I'm happy with the air shock but I believe the coil one is plusher. If I had such a great shock like RC4 I would think of putting on a titanium spring for weight saving.

I have a hard time to believe that your fr30 is a tiny bit heavier than mine...
  • 1 0
sure it can be built lighter, still at 15kg it is a very capable bike and about 2.5kg lighter than a stock FR30

Yeah, mine is at 33 lbs right now and I would like to drop it to about 30 lbs with lighter tires and stuff... I started drilling some holes lol.

how do you like fat alberts? do you know real weight? cheers, superb bike.

Thanks. Fat Alberts are pretty good, better grip than my other large volume tyres (Continental Diesel Protection 2.5" weight 800g) and are one of the lightest in its category at only 750g. These are the folding 2.4 EVO version, triple compound.

So very nice. You do know how to build a bike.

Time, patience and passion goes into every project, not to mention some cash, but trying to be very reasonable with the last one [even the tyres were bought second hand Smile ].
