If you are using single butted or straight gauge spokes you could save about half a pound with double butted spokes. Wheelsmith makes some cheap silver ones. Certainly won't affect strength, as long as you don't hit your spokes with a hammer daily.

It should be dialled in a few weeks, hopefully this works out, we have to make the 2 before it bigger first. But we can always make it less steep.
