Sure there are loads of hardcore hardtails out there, but this one has some serious attention to detail and rides unbelievably. I have never ridden such a fast Down-a-Hill hardtail. OldSkoolAK, there should be frames available at the end of next month.
I really don't understand what is with the hype on this hardtail, in the UK (I'm british but living in the US for a while) we have loads of company's who produce hardcore hardtails. Take my bike for example, Cotic BFe its a slack hardtail which can take 160mm forks, I currently run u-turn lyriks, it has ISCG tabs, 31.6 seatpost, dropper post cable tabs and the new model even has a 1.5 headtube.
The PP looks a little more modern. Nice paintjob, nice lines, nice "badge". The PP also can accomodate a x12 axle or SS dropouts. The Cotic has simple round tubes. Even though I've always loved to look at BFe builds here, I'd go for this PP.
I mean I understand that it is very pretty and I have to admit the different axle options are the one distinguishing feature.
But even though the tubes are round, they are Reynolds 853 steel compared to the PP's chromoly steel and the Reynolds is in a different league in terms of quality and strength/weight ratio. Also the PP has that fairly sizable gusset on the headtube.
Oh also I'm not saying it's a bad bike, I'm just curious as to why it seems to be the only aggressive hardtail on any website and it is getting so much hype as if slack hardtails are a new idea.
It only has one 853 tube, the rest is chromoly: Cotic Fm Heat Treat Cromoly throughout with Reynolds 853 DZB down tube. Maximum strength at minimum weight... Just saying like and I get what you're saying, I guess looks play a big part in it and marketing...
I own one and your whole perception of full-sus bikes changes when you find out what this hardtail is capable of. It's so fun to ride and good for your skills, once back to a fully you'll be flying!
What makes this so special?

Although mine is an old picture, some newer shiny parts on there now
