There is an upgrade available for these shocks of a reinforced/solid shock shaft which can help prevent the reoccurrence of this.

Haha amazing bodge, for future reference the valve caps with the valve core tools have saved me from this more times than I'd like to admit! Also the newer lezyne pumps have valve core tools built into the hoses.

Video: 7 Pro DH Bike Checks from Crankworx Innsbruck 2021
@brianpark: Both have merits, if you're just running through a spec list then photos/text work well. In this where it's a proper conversation/interview regarding setup, tweaks and preferences where it offers more than just a list of parts then a video is prime.

First Ride: Santa Cruz's New Bronson Gets a Mullet for 2022
Oh go buy a Kona stinky, THE PEAK of MTB development! The average rider wouldn't notice a difference. Unfortunately you don't seem to be the target customer for this, HOWEVER other companies may happily sell you a nullet (non-mullet). Sometimes fads work, look at droppers, tubeless, 1by, the sport of mountain biking... I say throw it all at the wall and see what sticks. What wins on Sunday, sells on Monday - Standard advertising motto and seems to work, the WC guys seem to like mullets...

PSIcle's NFC Sensor Threads Into a Presta Valve to Measure Tire Pressure
@f00bar: You wouldn't keep the valve open, you would install it between the shock and the valve, the same way as this article does with tyres and the same way the shock wiz does. You wouldn't be fitting and removing it and those seals would be as reliable as any other in an air system. Still a closed system.
