Overall World Cup champion. Overall World Cup team trophy. Junior World Cup overall. Junior World Champion. Silver medal, senior World Championship. 4th place, senior World Championship. A V-10 on every single World Cup podium. To say that the 2008 season was a good one for our flagship downhill bike is a bit of an understatement. Beneath the guiding hands of Santa Cruz Syndicate riders, the V-10 has become the definitive downhill weapon of this era. The VPP suspension has been refined to offer 254mm of seemingly bottomless travel while tracking with precision down the most demanding and technical courses that can be found anywhere in the world. Shock rates and ride characteristics have been honed to precision, creating the ultimate podium-seeking missile. Available Frame/shock only.

I'm 5'8" `50 lbs and i ride a Med V10 and a Med Nomad. These bikes fit me perfectly. I love the geometry. VPP Pivot design works amazingly well, pedals great, bearings stay super smooth, now that bearing problems have been addressed. 2 seasons on the v10 baearings and they're still buttery smooth, just have to keep the gresase in the bearings clean and high quality. These bikes are a great weight, with low center of mass. Great choice of finishes. Lots of choices for build kits and forks and shocks. Super sexy frames too!!!

Just got a new v10 frame with the new RC4 rearshock from fox and this has made the rear end much more adjustable to get it to do what i want it to do. Pedals better too.

the best overall DH bike I ever owned. light, fast and stick to the ground at highspeed. it has one speed, super fast! it's a big confidence builder, it handles like a big bike but is maneuverable like a small bike. it's no surprise it's been on the podium for so many years!

I recommend the Santa Cruz Bicycles V-10 If your job is to get to the bottom of a steep, technical race course in the least amount of time, the Santa Cruz is a good choice. Riders who pick the most direct route from corner to corner will find happiness with the V-10. This is a chassis that descends through scary sections without fanfare - and with a level of security that must be experienced to be understood.

The v10 is a bit hard to get used to, and feels different than most bikes. Also its a wierd jumper, but when you get the hang of it, its a mean speed machine. Some of my buds whos never tried riding before couldnt ride it because it begged for more speed and they just crashed. Also in one national cup I went to i kinda screwed up on a gap over some rocks and scrubbed into a rockgarden with heavy rocks (I went a little bit slow and tried to look cool..). I was sure I was going down hard, but the bike swallowed everything and I didnt loose more than a few secs

i have a custom built v10 (check my profile) can't fault it at all, rides perfect everytime! i ride everyday to school and hit the jumps on the way home and it just feels so nice, especially after a few suspension tweaks, definate recommendation to anyone who has the money, mine set me back £7000. One thing to watch for is muck getting in the linkage and make sure shock bolts and linkage bolts are tight

i have this bike and i love it. everything about it. it is bottomless. i have only bottommed it out once and ive had it for 2 years and being an agressive rider, i am surprised. it rails corners and sails jumps with ease. if you can afford it... this is the best bike that money can buy.

Only two cons, rear end has quite a bit of play and it's pretty difficult to get off the ground. If you like to jump, this isn't your bike, it lacks pop. If you like to straight up plow through everything, you'll love this frame.

This bike is a fantastic handling bike,i put the new fox 40s on my build and blinged it up with ride wides, burgtec stem, chris king head set,ive got away with a few dodgy landings n the bike has taken it in its stride,it also pedals really well even better than my sx.the elixir cr brakes are great and the sram shifters and derailleur are still faultless after four months of hard use. If you can afford one go for it.

Plush bike with short chainstays and aggresively steep head angle. Back end is plush and stiff without sucking up too hard when jumping. Bit of a short wheelbase for my taste, but I'm 6'1" on a medium- go figure. I liked the BB height of the 10.1 better than the 10.2, i found the pedals ate dirt while pedalling around corners alot more. Needs a progressive shock. The top of the travel is also very plush, hard to bottom out. I do _not_ like the bolt used to combat hyper-extension on the 10.1, although this is not an issue on the 10.2 and later. Pedals well, even without a pro-pedal shock. Nice.

the parts that they give you with the package suck but the frame is sweet they should put all shimano parts in the package and get rid of all the sram products like rock shox's truvative and avid they all suck put a fox 40 on it and then shimano every thing else brakes and derailers

at first, and at slow speeds, this bike is weird and odd to get used to. after about five minutes pointed in the right direction, regardless of trail, or ability, you realize that you are riding a truely refined DH fun machine. Fast is the name of the game here, faster = better handling and stability. Something to note, the little details make this the best bike i've ever OWNED. the through axle and pivot bearings are really well thought out, and the rear d. hanger is tough as nails. The more i ride this bike, the smaller it feels, and i have come to realize that it is a capable FR bike as well, mostly because it instill confidence, and takes rider input very well, especailly at high speeds and in hairy conditions. the chainstay feels much shorter than its listed, with all the weight so centrally located, as well as so incredibly low, the bike jumps and jibs really well. Cons? i havent found any. seriously. just dont slam your seat, its not made for that, or the wheel will eat it when you huck.... simply AMAZING, every time i ride it.

Just came off a year on an 07 MK2 - awesome bikes, super strong, no issues - new bearing set once in 12 months and she stays like a dream. Cannot fault - definately better than Intense's efforts without the worries of your bike cracking.

I had one of these frames for some time. Ive used it for racing and freeriding. It was an excellent confidence inspiring frame to ride! Youve got 10 inches of oh shit if it comes down to it! Ive been fortunate enough to have never had to use it as oh shit travel but anyways Id recommend this bike to anybody that wants a big bike that can take anything you can throw at it!

I love this bike! It handles like a dream, in places where there is no berm you feel an unlimited amount of support. It is really responsive, and the geometry is super dialed for the suspension to work when you want it to!

VPP system is the best linkage I've ridden in the 15+ years I've raced downhill. Love the geometry of these bikes as well. I've owned 2, just waiting for my 3rd (carbon) to arrive.

I haven't broken it and never will, and it has no limits in its ability to conquer anything. The most lovely feeling (and good looking) rig I've ever seen. I'm very proud to be an owner of one.

I have an 06, rides like a dream. I have different specs though; Fox 40, Deemaxxs, etc... Buterry smooth on everything and I noticed how easy it is to let go of the brakes and just fly down with optimum control.

The v10 frame has to be the ultimate Dh race machine. It rides so well through the rough stuff, and corners just as good as my previous sunday did.

Fantastic to ride, eats everything and corners like its on rails, VPP works very efficiently but 8 bearing make changing them expensive

Sex on wheels. Fast, sticks to the ground but flies like a dream. Don't oversize - I'm 6'0 and ride a medium and I'm glad I didn't get a large.
