Hope Hoops Pro 2 EVO + DT Swiss EX500 Rims

$150 GBP
Hey all, time to clear some more space in the bike cupboard so I am putting my Hope/DTSwiss EX500 26" wheels for sale. Starting with the rims, they are both totally true and no flat/high spots. There is some minor cosmetic scratching but nothing particularly note-worthy. The Green "Hope Hoops" stickers havent stuck very well and could do with being re-adhered or just removed. This is obviously purely aesthetic and in no way will affect performance. Hub-wise, Everyone knows of the legendary quality of Hope Hubs and the reliability they provide. This wheelset is no different as all bearings are smooth and will continue to be for a long time. Hope use very high quality bearings and are well sealed from the elements. Obviously if you pressure wash them and point the hose directly at the seal you might have some problems, but proper care and maintenance will see these bearings last ages. As is common with aluminium freehub bodies, the harder steel cassette has caused some very minor nibbling of the freehub splines. This is a very common occurence and is to be expected, solely due to the interaction of metals with different hardnesses. Steel freehub bodies can be bought which are more resistant to the nibbling phenomenon but are often heavier than the aluminium counterparts. This nibbling has no effect on installation/removal of a cassette and doesn't affect the performance of the hub in any way. The hubs are currently set at 100x15QR front (NON-BOOST) and 135x9mmQR Rear (NON-BOOST). I believe I may have the sets of endcaps to allow the front to be run as 9mm QR, 15mm QR or 20mm Axle. If i can't find them, they cant be purchased relatively cheaply. Schwalbe Hans Dampf (tubed) tyres included with the sale along with a Hope QR skewer for the rear hub. UPDATE 29th June: I am currently away from where these wheels are currently located. I will return on 6th July and can arrange any pick-up/postage at that point.

Independent Lab Test Finds Airbag Helmet is Safest
I am all for pushing the boundaries of engineering and design and love seeing new ideas and I value the novel application of airbag technology in the bike helmet industry. However, I do have some reservations regarding the use of this airbag within the MTB world. First of all, the test required that the Hövding airbag use a larger anvil than the other tested models. That alone kills any validity of results in my mind. The testers were concerned about the sharp edges of the anvil. Do they assume that this airbag would never encounter sharp edges in it's regular usage? From a psychological side, I would be very cautious about using one of these on a mountain bike, at least you know with a traditional EPS foam helmet that it will always be there when you crash. I'd be paranoid that the airbag may not deploy when needed. Further, having it wrapped around your neck while on an MTB would likely limit the flexibility and movement required for riding. In addition, what happens if you are riding aggressively and the airbag senses that absorbing a big hit or such passes it's threshold for activation and inflates while you are still in control. I would shit a brick and likely crash due to the unexpected distraction of the airbag deploying. I hate seeing the PB community seemingly bash on any idea that might be a a bit outside the box. I genuinely do like the idea and think it has merit. But I do certainly have reservations about its use within mountain biking

PRICE DROP Marzocchi 888 RC3 WC Titanium

$200 GBP
Hi folks, hope you are well! Today I am listing my 888 RC3 World Cup Titanium fork. I had bought this as part of a project build to get back onto a DH bike. Well, time and money have precluded the possibility of finishing this build and so I am going to try and sell on the parts I had bought. As such I have never actually ridden this fork so I have to list this as sold as seen. The previous owner had repainted the lowers and not made a particularly good job of it. so there is some Green showing through on the fork. The rebound adjuster passes the "car park test" in that it gives a defined change in rebound speed. I would likely recommend a service to make sure all is well internally, hence the low price on a fork with much more value. To be honest though, Marzocchi forks are pretty bombproof and reliable. Further, the open bath damping is still a fantastic, plush damping system! BONUS! The fork includes a Hope Integrated Top Crown/Stem, These retail at £200 RRP and are usually available online for about £160. The crown itself is in perfect condition. I paid £250 for this fork a year ago and would like to recoup a decent bit of that back. Willing to listen to reasonable offers though! Feel free to fire any questions my way!

Santa Cruz Blur LT

$200 GBP
Hi all, Hope you are doing well! Today I am selling my Santa Cruz Blur LT trail bike. I loved this bike but eventually upgraded to 650b wheels and since that, this frame has laid dormant. I am now needing to clear up space and as such, this frame needs to find a new owner! The frame is in a fantastic mechanical condition, however the cosmetic condition is classed as "Fair". There are a few marks here and there, including some residue of stick-on frame protection patches and some other associated wear and tear associated with a used mountain bike! Can also include a Fox Factory CTD shock if the £200 asking price is met. The shock has sat for years now without being used so could probably benefit from being opened up and refreshed with new lubes and seals. Not ridden it in ages so can't attest to its current function. However a basic service would be likely to solve any concerns that had arised from its non-usage. Just needing to get some things shifted and make room so hence the low price. Any questions feel free to give me a shout! Viewings are welcome in Glasgow Happy Trails Rory
