EWS Tech - Enduro World Series, Round 2 - Wicklow
I've owned Yeti 575 alloy & carbon, SB66 alloy and SB66 carbon. I'm 109kg + kit. Had a problem with the alloy swing arm but it was promptly replaced and all good... Just cause it's a MTB, does not make it indestructible... That's what warranty is for. I think just about all bikes have their issues - and people with problems tend to complain more than people with out problems... But then again, if a problem robs you of happy times riding, it's understandable we want to piss & moan about it... Happy trails all!

Steps to the Top: Brandon Semenuk - Video
Awesome peice. Must have been really tough for him to make such a wise decision after travelling so far to NZ with so much pressure to perform from fans and sponsors. Concussion is NOT trivial and he should not have been allowed to drop in again. brain damage lasts a life time. Great call Brandon - recover well.

Plenty of roots that open up a knee or elbow. I didn't think I needed pads until I had one of those stupid, slow front wheel washouts on a steep trail. Fell off and my forearm was opened up from wrist to elbow and packed full of dirt & gravel. 2 staph infections, 2 operations, blood clots and a week in hospital has convinced me that pads every ride is worth it.

Ask Pinkbike: 1x11 Options, Fork Bumper Placement, and Scott Gambler vs. Voltage
I've been running a 32t Blackspire NW chainring on my XT crank with 11-36 cassette and just added the oneUp 42t on my sb66c. It's great for 90% of stuff I ride but I think I'll go back to 2x10 to have the broader range, esp on longer rides over 40km. I've got XT 2x10 on my 29er HT and it's perfect for me. I'm 6'4 110kg Clydesdale so that's relevant. I think if I were sub 90kg, 1x10 would be good for all but the steepest climbs - and all my riding mates are still running 3x10 anyway... Guess I should cut back on the pizza...
