DH Tech Randoms: 2026 South Korea World Cup
It depends on why his front wheel was sliding. He's mentioned the higher bar setup allows him to run lower fork and front tyre pressure. Maybe he had to over-pressurise them in the past to avoid feeling like he was being pushed over the front -leading to less grip.

Wyn Masters Partners with Pembree for 2026
@halfpressure: Jeeez, I can't imagine how they managed that. Not once, but 9 times in a short press release. ...also, if they're hiring, I can barely use a camera, but maybe I could be a 'Photograpgher'.

DirtySixer Teases a 32er MonsterEnduro Bike
Precisely. I'm no bike designer, but is there any good reason it couldn't look like this?: https://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb29225979/p5pb29225979.jpg Maybe also shorten the seat tube to fit a decent length dropper.

Video: Joe Smith Isn’t Slowing Down in ‘Take It How It Comes’
@slayersxc17: I'd echo what others have said. Dealing with Forbidden was great. They were very helpful. However, I'd also repeat that the rear tyre clearance is not enough with a 29in wheel. Another con I've just remembered: the linkage is designed so any gaps get larger as the suspension compresses. Unfortunately this means anything trapped in there will be crushed against the frame by the pressure of the shock when you get off the bike. That same design also makes it hard to use moto foam or a flap to stop this happening. Ultimately I sold the frame and got a cheaper alternative. For me, the impressive suspension performance wasn't enough to offset the cost and many problems of the Druid V2.

@slayersxc17: Ha, I meant I had to go back and check Strava to find out the total number of times I'd ridden it before finding the second crack.

My experience: Pros: - Suspension felt amazing on rougher stuff, and was easy to set up - Front end grip was very good - cornering was a joy - Idler drag was minimal Cons: - Rear end grip when braking (particularly on steep sections) was not quite as good - The frame storage is small and not watertight. You may need to use the mounts on the top tube for extra tool storage - The weight undermines the design. Sure, the 130mm of travel feels like 160mm, but it also weighs as much as a 160mm enduro bike... - Mine cracked in 2 places, the chainstay bridge and the front triangle shock mount, within 16 rides (according to Strava).

Burning Question: What's The Ideal Frame From a Shock Manufacturer's Perspective?
Now my question is: If you wanted a little more progression on a bike that can adjust the progression rate via flip chip (such as a Gen 6 Trek Fuel EX), and an air shock that accepts volume tokens, would you: A) Flip the frame chip to 'more progression' and potentially reduce shock volume tokens. B) Keep the flip chip in 'less progressive' mode, but add volume tokens. Are there any benefits to either approach?

First Look: Cascade Components' Stumpjumper 15 High Pivot Conversion Kit
@stormracing: I should say: this was a Druid V2. The main one is how the suspension linkage opens up as it compresses. This was marketed as a good thing because 'rocks will fall out when you're riding' In reality, rocks get in there, then when you get off the bike they get crushed against the chainstays by the full pressure of the shock as it extends and reduces the gap. The design also makes it much harder to put a fender or moto foam there to stop the problem, like you can with many other suspension systems. Other, smaller issues: - Having to change the chainstays to swap wheel sizes is expensive. - Rear tyre clearance with a 29er wheel is almost nothing, causing deep scratches on the seatstay bridge. - The frame storage really should keep water out better, considering the location.

@antrunner: Maybe so, but it has completely ruined my faith in their bikes. There were other areas where I thought it was badly designed too.

I did, and it cracked in two different places in a few months. It also had other quality issues. Funnily enough, the bike before that was a 2019 Stumpjumper LT with Cascade link which was problem-free for 5 years.
