Review: Maxxis's New Forekaster Tire is Heavier & Better Than The Original
@millsr4: I see. I've only ever tried dual compound of either of them as a rear and was ~20lbs heavier the last time I ran a DHR so that could have something to do with the wear. 3C only for the front for me.

Review: Maxxis's New Forekaster Tire is Heavier & Better Than The Original
@bigwheels87: I never really liked the Aggressor. It does everything “ok” but not great. It’s barely faster than a DHR but brakes and corners worse and weighs just as much. Dissector is better in every way. I’ve been on DHF front/Dissector rear for a little over a year now and no plans to change.

@RogerMexico: they also last a long time. I’ve never gotten more than 500-700 out of a rear (Clyde) and I got almost 1,200 out of my last dissector

And how do they compare to a Dissector? The Dissector is amazing. Rolls way faster than a DHR, doesn’t brake or corner much worse.

What’s the Significance of the Specialized Direct-to-Consumer Move? It’s Complicated.
@mknott9: The margins as a percentage are WAYYYY higher than with cars. I worked at a dealership and the profit on a brand new luxury car is a couple thousand MAX. As a percentage of what a luxury car costs that is miniscule. And often times they're sold at cost or even below cost with the dealer hoping to make it up in finance (extended warranties, GAP coverage, accessories, etc) or down the line as a service customer.

Cut out the middleman, charge the same, pocket more profit.

Roval Traverse Carbon 29" boost wheels

$750 USD
These are priced $50 lower than the next cheapest of these wheels on here, not accepting lowball offers. I used them on my XC bike for a season but they're overkill for that type of riding so I'm selling, my loss is your gain. They're in great shape, just a few scratches typical of offroad riding. No cracks or chips and they spin true. I posted a pic of by far the worst scratch but let me know if you want to see anything else. Will ship at buyer's expense. Specs from the Specialized website: RIMS Roval Traverse Carbon 29, hookless carbon, 30mm inner width, hand-built tubeless ready, 28h FRONT HUB Specialized, sealed cartridge bearings, 15x110mm spacing, 28h REAR HUB DT Swiss 350, Star Ratchet, 36t engagement, SRAM XD driver body, 12mm thru-axle, 148mm spacing, 28h SPOKES DT Swiss Industry
