Zerode Taniwha - Crankworx Rotorua 2016
For a full suspension bike the major issue with Rohloff is unsprung weight. Packing extra weight into the rear hub is pretty bad from a suspension point of view. I'd rather have my frame 'messed up' than have unresponsive suspension with terrible rebound characteristics.

Final Fireworks Show - Eurobike 2015
I think the answer is Cyclocross. Could be pretty useful to be able to drop the post to jump barriers or clear a tricky section. Also perfect for getting all road bike party and jumping some tennis nets on the way to work ;) Maybe Chris Akrigg and Yoann Barelli are their target market?

From the linked article (and a few other sources I checked), the dog is fine: "Though his dog had accompanied him on previous jumps, she was not in Potter’s backpack on Saturday."

Video: One Hot and Hairy Ride
I'm pretty sure Pinkbike should be totally against chicken theft and ambushing and biting other riders too! The video riders personal safety is his decision, this is hardly setting a role model people will imitate now is it?

SRAM X01 Drivetrain
Why bother? Just run an X9/X0 clutched 10 speed derailleur with XX1/X01 cranks. 1x with no chain guide and you only pay for the crankset. Sure you don't get as wide a range, so just run a 32 tooth and man up for the climbs :)

Are you implying that free-riders aren't allowed to ride trails? I'll let you find the irony in that all by yourself.

Videos: Leatt Talks About Neck Braces
I understand that after a big crash it's easy to think "I would've broken my neck", but it's a false conclusion. I had a massive head first crash, cracked fullface helmet and compression fractured two vertebrae in my LOWER back. No Leatt, no neck injury. The truth is that the damage you do is highly dependent on the exact forces in your crash and how your body takes the impact. Not saying you shouldn't wear a brace, just be careful jumping to conclusions on when it did/didn't save you. Playing the paralysis card to end the discussion is a bit unfair.

To Encourage Biking, Cities Lose the Helmets
Oh and by the by, wearing a helmet has saved my life (I hit my head hard enough to compression fracture my spine, full face saved me from minimum facial reconstruction, possible death). Consequently I always wear a helmet, usually a full-face. I've also used the Velib in Paris and a helmet would make it a LOT less practical, I didn't have one (was travelling) and felt no less safe than walking.
