@golefty: project321 and onyx also produce lefty hubs, they are not made under license. The patent on lefty hubs expired years ago.

@drua: the lefty only stenches to West coasters who's flat brim is cutting off the blood supply to their brains. On the East coast and throughout Europe the lefty was very popular.

Exactly this. What a great idea spoiled by using a proprietary hub when there's already a perfect standard for this. I actually have a very similar design sitting in my CAD but long travel that uses lefty hubs. Lefty hub features patents have long expired.

Factory Tour: Inside Polygon’s Bicycle Manufacturing Machine
@plyawn: well two separate issues, but first; Australia needs to take back Papua and allow the vote on independence that was promised. Second, all western countries need to ban the importing of goods manufactured below a certain environmental regulatory environment. This would either stop the exporting of pollution or make them bring their standards up.

Indonesia is even worse of an industrial polluter then China, not to mention currently engaged in a 50yr long genocide of the west Papuan people. No thanks polygon.

Using a an ultra light ebike motor in a heavy full weight ebike frame and it still weighs more than a dwarf star? Heavy, expensive, stupid manufacturing method and terrible motor choice. Check.

Not really sure this is any better than a really high single pivot? It's a VPP that doesn't move it's virtual pivot much. Where's the anti-squat, pedal kickback and leverage curves? Reminds me of a Balfor BB7, which I always loved.

China star ratchets always strip. The materials and heat treat simply aren't good enough. If you're going to offshore your star ratchets, don't make them more than 24t.
