@golefty: project321 and onyx also produce lefty hubs, they are not made under license. The patent on lefty hubs expired years ago.

Exactly this. What a great idea spoiled by using a proprietary hub when there's already a perfect standard for this.
I actually have a very similar design sitting in my CAD but long travel that uses lefty hubs.
Lefty hub features patents have long expired.

@plyawn: well two separate issues, but first; Australia needs to take back Papua and allow the vote on independence that was promised.
Second, all western countries need to ban the importing of goods manufactured below a certain environmental regulatory environment. This would either stop the exporting of pollution or make them bring their standards up.

Not really sure this is any better than a really high single pivot? It's a VPP that doesn't move it's virtual pivot much.
Where's the anti-squat, pedal kickback and leverage curves?
Reminds me of a Balfor BB7, which I always loved.

China star ratchets always strip. The materials and heat treat simply aren't good enough. If you're going to offshore your star ratchets, don't make them more than 24t.
