Tech Randoms: Frame Weights, Gearboxes, & A Production Privée Prototype at the Val di Fassa EDR
My Cura 2-piston brakes are the best brakes I have across my four bikes: Code, Cura 4, and XTR 4 piston. Maybe my favorite brakes ever in thirty years of riding. They bite really well and have tons of power, are very easy to bleed—even though they don’t often need it—and the carbon blade feels super smooth. Plus, you can get them for a song compared to other systems.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Buy A 32" Wheel Bike?
@anchoricex: I watched Troy Brosnan climb on his bike today at Lenzerheide like it was a horse. I can’t see him or most other pros being comfortable on 32 in wheels. Someone Peaty or Minaar’s size, maybe. I’m 194cm and curious.

Review: Shimano XT 8220 Brakes - More Consistency, Same Value
@mashrv1: I had luck sanding a couple of millimeters off of my bleed block, refilling the system, and capturing the same feel as a thicker rotor minus the cost of new discs.

Sleeper Showcases Phil Atwill's Effortless Style in 'Flow State II'
Phil Atwill is to the 2020s what Brian Blyther was to the 1980s. I love watching him ride.

Bike Check: Comparing Two 32" Prototype XC Hardtails - Falconer & Neuhaus
This is exactly the kind of thing Mountain Bike Action needs to get back in the black. I can just see months of 32 versus 29 shootouts, then 32/29 versus 29, then 32/29 versus 29/27, then the no-kidding shootout of all shootouts with all permutations of wheel sizes.

Review: SRAM Maven Base Brakes - Light Lever Action & Lots of Power
@Marky771: I bought my Formula Cura 4 brakes for about $150 USD via Bike24. They’re very easy to bleed, look great, have a soft lever pull and loads of power with a nice initial bite. I run Cura XC (2 piston) brakes on my hardtail and they feel even better with the carbon lever. Don’t sleep on Formula. Ratboy approved.

Heckler C Rear Triangle and rocker (27.5)

$200 USD
When I ordered my Santa Cruz Heckler it was errantly shipped as a mullet. Instead of sending it back, my bike store installed a new 29’ rear triangle and rocker and just gave this one to me. I’m not even remotely mixed-wheel or mullet curious, so here you go. There is no chain slap protector nor speed sensor but it does include the rocker and bearings.
