Now Finished: Ask Me Anything With Mike Hopkins
Hi Mike, I work more than 12 hours a day and have very little time to ride (I rode once in 2 years). I'm assuming you make your living biking (I don't know your story), if you knew you could help millions of people by working very hard and foregoing your love for biking, would you do it?

Onza Ibex Tire - Review
to the guy with the $56 car tires..I would feel a HELL of a lot better putting cheapo rubber on my little mountain bike where not stopping in time would mean a collision with a tree..rather than in my car where the consequences WILL be a lot worse. Please do yourself and your family a favor and get good tires on your ride, no matter what it is. Like another guy said, your tires are the only thing in contact with the ground and the only thing keeping you from careening off the road if it's wet. Everybody thinks it's okay to skimp on tires..unless you're driving a tractor in the middle of a field with no other lives at risk then it's fine. Read reviews, go to tirerack.com, get better tires.

You're right. Although I find it hard to say something has or is "more art" than something else..I'm sure you've considered this but I want to bring it up. The tools you speak of..They are not natural. Yes, a pen and paper may have more of an analog function, is more "organic", and is simpler to operate..But it is something us as humans have created. Just like synthesizers and computer programs..they are just a bit more complicated. I don't think it is a question of whether something is "art" or not, just a question of beauty. You, I'm guessing, would respect and find a hand-drawn portrait of a man's face far more beautiful than a picture taken of him. Sometimes..I wish the word "art" never existed. I wish people would just respect and admire things for what they are and not try to categorize them and put them in a room with all the others that are similar to it. Everything is unique. No matter how you see it, everything that has been created and that will be created is different from anything we've created before. And nothing will ever be seen the same simply because time does not stand still and nothing is immune to change. Including us and our views. I think you need to be a little more optimistic. Yeah the majority of the world's population is enslaved in consumerism, but we're not all happy about it. Sooner or later I think we will make the change to be a better species and save this planet. It might take a bit of a nudge of some sort to get us going though, which isn't gonna be pretty. But it's necessary

jedrzeja, I am no artist..I know nothing of art or photography or any of that. What I do know..is feeling. I completely understand everything you said and I agree to a certain extent. You say there is no digital art? How can't there be any art in putting hours of effort into creating something for others to experience? I believe art is ART when it is seen in the eyes of the viewer how the creator wanted it to be seen. Your magnificent drawings will possibly never truly succeed because nobody will be able to see it as you do..which is beautiful. I can understand your frustration and I can relate. Where you wish for others to see and appreciate the effort and creativity you put into a piece, I only wish to be able to create something that resembles the creativity in my head..I've tried drawing but never improved because of my lack of patience. I also want to create a musical piece..with multiple instruments all played by myself but of course..lack of patience. I'm not sure where I'm going with this anymore. Maybe I just saw a bit of myself in you and wanted to share. I dunno. Keep up the good work sir. You have far more patience than the rest of us. Yeah I think that's what I wanted to say
