YT Industries Resumes Warranty Support & Trading In The UK Following Restructuring
@PhoS: because it’s a lot of money to shell out for something that may break without support. This isn’t everyday drama for Apple or HP or thousands of other brands who manage to stay in business long enough to provide adequate customer support. Mistakes happen in manufacturing and sometimes tolerances aren’t met and recalls are required. Without CPSC oversight like the auto industry, the brand is expected to take up that slack. I don’t see why that’s so hard to understand.

@warmerdamj: 6 hours overall doesn’t tell the entire story. Makes it sound like they’re sitting around waiting hours for women to finish. Tell us the spread of finish times across classes and who is actually dragging down finish time.

@pmhobson: I don’t know what problem they were trying to solve here so I’m not going to present vague solutions, but there apparently was a conflict that needed resolution and they found it by removing race time for one segment and one segment only. Not sure where the 6 hour difference comes from either since the average stage by stage finish time difference is closer to 46 minutes. That and using female voices to support this crap isn’t cool.

You took race time away from women only and then used women’s voices to justify the one sided adjustment. Shame on you.
If you needed to reduce operational costs to stay solvent, it should have been equitably. This is disgustingly marketed and a totally crap thing to do.
