Bike Instructor Certification Program Announces Global Skills Day 2026
Can anyone compare the BICP to more recognised organisations like GSMBC or PMBIA?

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: The Knee Pads That Pinkbike Editors Wear
@lepigpen: The Leatt ones are really good, I have the removeable ones with the zip. Hard shell, well made, feel pretty good. HOWEVER, they zip up instead of zip down, which means the weakest part of the zip is at the fattest part of your leg. And if you have fat legs (like me) then they come undone really easily. Had to move on to a different brand :(

Discussion: The UCI Hasn't Banned 32" Wheels Yet, Should They?
I think we should let them have big wheels, then make tracks with sections that are super tight and technical with lots of trees, so the big wheels are way slower. Would that not even things out?

Pinkbike Poll: What Protective Apparel You Typically Ride With?
@Tristanssid: Skin off the palms is such a slow injury to heal as well. I wear gloves for exactly the same reason. Not the grip, just the fear of repeating that injury!

Stacked - The Bar Heights of 11 DH Riders at the 2025 Leogang DH World Cup
I recently added 20mm (went from a 30mm riser bar to a 50mm riser bar). One thing I really noticed straightaway was I'm more comfortable on jumps, like WAY more comfortable. I'm too much of a wuss to hit jumps hard, but this was really noticeable. A slight decrease in climbing performance, but still worth it. I'm now considering getting a 70 or 80mm riser bar to see what that's like.

Disrupting Downhill MTB: Inside the €100,000 Race
The Geometron/Nicolai G1 has a gearbox option, which I believe can run 200mm of rear travel (I know the non gearbox version can), plus it's super adjustable in terms of BB height, chainstay and seat stay length. I wonder how it would fare running as a DH bike?

Spotted: Loic Bruni on Unidentified Prototype Brakes
I have some TRP G-Spec brakes that I got second hand on a bike and have since swapped them across to another frame. Been using them for probably 3 years now. I don't actually love them that much, since they have way too much modulation for my tastes (I loved my old Saints) but I can't justify changing them. They work perfectly, have heaps of power, don't seem to use much brake pads, AND I have never touched them in terms of a bleed.

First Ride: Geometron G1 GPI - A Tinkerer's Dream
I own a previous gen G1 in the XXL size (535mm reach) and love it. It's a pretty good weight for a beefy enduro bike (I have carbon rims and bars), which I think is because of the 7020 alloy, it's definitely lighter than 6000 alloys. I find it climbs great, especially on more technical stuff, and descends way faster than I want to! I would absolutely buy this, except for the sticker price, but maybe one day...

Highlights & Results: Australian XC National Championships 2025
It doesn't say it in the post, but my understanding is that Bec Henderson dislocated her shoulder on the first lap and still managed to claw back the victory?
