2024 Pinkbike Awards: Innovation of the Year Winner

I think e*thirteen moved past this a while ago already and it was largely related to their low end OEM parts. 3 different riders in our group have been thrashing their LG1 race carbon wheels for 3+ years now. Just 1 cracked rim from a huck to rock edge that would have destroyed anything...and my buddy still rode on a bunch before warrantying it for free.

2024 Pinkbike Awards: Innovation of the Year Winner

One of my buddies got one recently. He's got a lg high pivot Forbidden. I've got a lg Transitional Sentinel. We swapped wheels and bikes back and forth on our local shuttle trail. We both felt it made a pretty impressive difference on both bikes.

Really disappointed no one asked about the dog attack mentioned in the comments on the IG post. Those SC trailbuilders are a greasy bunch so maybe he was just mistaken for a delicious snack.

@edthesled: my understanding is they go a ton of OEM spec with their lightweight low end alloy rims on bikes that ended up with single ply tires and getting used extensively in bike park situations. Thats a receipt for problems no matter what brand.

First Look: Commencal Release The Race Proven Supreme DH V5

This reputation is from the older products a few years ago - the new stuff is really good. Commencal/100% has been on their carbon rims for a while and word on the street in Snowshoe from them is that they broke less rims than anyone for those races.
