Peaty's Expands Product Line to Include New Serviceable 'Monarch' Saddle That Features a Handle
I mean people hang bikes in work stands from extended droppers all the time. Not saying it's correct but I don't think you have anything to worry about lifting you bike by the saddle every now and then. The chair lift at my closest bike park has riders hang the bikes off the chair via the saddle. Don't think I ever seen an incident.

Review: Zink Vacay - The Responsive Freestyle Specialist
The Status is a good comparison. The whole point of the Status was to be a good value fun bike aimed at the section of the market that historically probably would never have looked at a Specialized. I think it did that job pretty well. It also has vert short chain stays like the Vacay.

If the rumours are correct the next gen Trek Fuel with HPR120 will have a proper modular battery. Something along the lines of 600wh+300wh. Giving you the ability to run 300wh, 600wh and 900wh configs all contained inside the down tube.
