I hate big S but dammit that Status 140 (and 160) such a smokin' deal. Bitch about NX all you want, but if you take care of your drivetrain it does the job, same with the 36 Rhythm. And now you have an extra $750 out of your $3k budget to upgrade something right out the gate (I'd go with wheels)

@davetrumpore: Dave every response you've written is arguing... but the fact remains that my statement wasn't based on fact, rather hopeful, opinionated forecasting of how the new race series will influence the pinnacle of downhill mtb racing. I feel like you may have missed the part where I predicted that although the UCI does indeed govern the new series, I'm hoping they'll eventually part ways for the riders' sake; see Eddie's 2020 interview ("UCI is suffocating downhill mtb") and Loic & Finn feeling the need to create a riders union to balance the UCI's power as a couple quick examples of where I'm coming up with the idea.
