Avinox Creates Restricted M2S Motor Variant to Gain UCI Race Approval
@twilkes: The EMTB XC World Cup ceasing for 2026 had that so lodged in my head I forgot about EMTBs in enduro racing. It makes sense though, if I were to buy an EMTB it would be for fire road up, gnarly singletrack down.

First Ride: Specialized Epic 9 - Unapologetically Race-Focused
To me the Epic 9 makes the Epic Evo 7 look impressive as hell. Similar geometry and weight but released nearly 6 years ago.

First Ride: Specialized Epic 9 - Unapologetically Race-Focused
I noticed something similar last spring when I built up a holdover frame. My build was coming out lower than the Expert spec so I decided to see what the full S-Works spec would cost. At the time it was $12.2k if I paid MSRP for everything, while the built bike was $14.5k. I just chalked it up to price volatility, but it seems it's happened again.

Interview: Team USA on Whether the Olympics is Still the Pinnacle of XC Racing
@korev: It would be pretty cruel of Britain to send Brendog all the way to LA, just to get completely robbed in a second US state...

Men's Category of Slopestyle Will Not Proceed - Crankworx Rotorua 2024 [Updated with FMBA Statement]
@luke7below: @luke7below: The prize for winning Wimbledon is £2.35M, and if I remember right a single Crankworx event was $25k. So with those proportions and the 37% increase that's ~$800. That would be a pretty underwhelming proposal for an appearance fee.

Mathieu Van Der Poel Signs Unprecedented 10 Year Contract with Canyon
@vinay: On the road he descends and corners really well, but so do quite a few other riders (Tom Pidcock on Alpe d'Huez comes to mind). This year in CX was pretty otherworldly though. There were quite a few races where he was the only person riding multiple obstacles, or it was him and Wout van Aert riding them while everyone else dismounted. His ability to do nearly sprint level surges what seemed like 20-30 times per race blew me away.

Start List: XCC Short Track - Val di Sole World Championships 2021
@marc-c: They must be really slow because it's been more than a week and they're not even half done.
