I did not get everything about the Sam Pigrim`s bike test: this lad choose a quite awkward setup: 60psi in the tires... seriously? Without mentioning the wooden suspensions settings...

Marin San Quentin - All New Hardtail Developed With Matt Jones
Not too bad, but a steel frame could have been much more than recommended. There is absolutely no comfort on an aluminium one. Forget that piece of wood and get a real bike!

3 Bike Checks From Round 1 of the Raon L'Etape Enduro Series
@ukr77: I talked about my old-school Slayer, the SXC 2.0, not about the latest version ;-) Of course the new version has got a 65° head angle, and BTW Rocky Mountain: when you want for the aluminium version of that new Slayer!!!

Video: Riding in the Moment on Vancouver Island
This tall talented rider would need 29 inches wheels. He looks like me beside a 24 inches bike!!! :-) BTW: the bicycle picture shows a strange thing: when the dropper seat post is lowered, the saddle gets at the height of the handlebars. Wondering if this is handy in downhill sections....

Half agree. The head angle is not that slack - 67,5° - compared to the nowadays standards but it`s probably more responsive and sharp in switchbacks without losing confidence at high speeds. I have the same head angle on my old-but-awesome RM Slayer SXC with a 170mm RS Lyric, and it is so playful!
