How Much Have Olympic-Winning Mountain Bikes Evolved In the Past 28 Years?
@deanw: disagree. With the right pads and setup V's were pretty good in the wet.

I personally loved Grip Shift. If Shimano did a modern Grip Shift I'd 100% buy it.

I miss V-brakes. For something so simple they could be incredibly powerful and to this day would outperform some low end discs.

Yep, long dropper posts are compensation for bad riders. I'm 6'5", and a 150-180 post is more than enough.

@nateb: better than listening to Warner over hype everything. No one loves the sound of his own voice more than Rob Warner.

First Look: The 2025 Geometron G1 is More Adjustable & More Proportional
All I would say is don't get caught up on the reach numbers, ride what you find comfortable and faster. Being tall doesn't mean you should be on some crazy 500+ reach. Try different sizes, don't just go by what's suggested. I'm 6'5", long legs/arms, and my trail/enduro bike is 485mm reach which for me is perfect. I previously had longer (530mm) as was following the trend but found it incredibly uncomfortable and slower overall so downsized.

Pinkbike Poll: What Do You Look For In a Clipless Pedal?
Still using DX's on all my bikes, have a few sets spare just in case. Best pedal I've ever used, last forever and it the cage breaks you can just replace them. Shimano still carry spares.
