Luke Meier-Smith's Winning POV from the 2026 Australian Downhill National Championships
That was probably the most precise race run as far as tire placement goes that I’ve ever seen. He looked very intentional with no obvious errors. Very impressive to watch.

Specialized Patent Reveals Demo Two-Chain Drivetrain Layout
If this becomes available to the public I wonder how much maintenance will cost on this frame. I’m guessing a lot , and a lot to go wrong too. IMO they’re over complicating a bicycle. I’m sure it rides amazing but for %98 of us we probably wouldn’t notice a tangible difference when compared to a more traditional full suspension bike. Not enough of a difference to justify the cost of the frame and the maintenance to go with it.

Pinkbike Poll: What Cost More, Your Car or Your Bike?
I have a $20,000 training bike and an identical race bike. I replace both of them every year because yes (not sponsored , but I should be because I’m really , really good) I put them on my $3000 custom rack and hitch on my $250,000 Porsche Cayenne turbo GT. I got all my money not from working hard but from inheritance. I’m self made. So my car is more expensive than my bike but wanted to flex because I have self esteem issues.

Randoms From Bellingham's Northwest Tune-Up
My wife and I go down to Bellingham all the time. I raced in the Galbraith enduro and have had zero issues crossing the border. Zero. Never harassed or bothered down there. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. And just in case you’re thinking of playing the skin Color card , my wife is an immigrant and not Caucasian. Too bad you’re bringing politics into it because you’re missing out. But it’s better if you don’t come down because it means shorter border wait times for me !!

More Engagement, More Control? Everything You Need To Know About High Engagement Hubs
@defm006: if you’re a bigger or stronger (or both) guy stay away from the vespers. I blew mine up 3 times and then it only took about 6 rides between the second and final blow up. They’re weak hubs IMO. I got a DT 350 and haven’t looked back. I have heard the onyx classic are good and tough though.

Video: An Inside Look at Dakotah Norton's Challenging 2024 World Cup Season
I was lucky enough to meet Dakotah at crankworx Whistler in 2014 (I think). He is such a nice dude and so easy to talk to. I had no idea who he was at this time but I knew he was fast !! I’m really happy for him to be where he is today because he’s definitely put in the work. I can’t wait to see him standing on the top spot. Good luck this season Dakotah !!

First Ride: Maxxis Highroller III Tire - DH Race Ready
I got sick of the maxxis factory wobble in the tires as well as the price. I’ve been running specialized tires for over a year now and haven’t looked back. They are so good IMO. Running cannibals front and rear and the traction and confidence is the best I’ve had. I ride pretty aggressively and am a bigger guy and haven’t had any issues with knobs tearing. Amazing tires.

I just realized that the top build comes with carbon rims. Don’t crucify me pinkbike comments section. But I stand by everything else I said !!!

First Look: The 2025 Lapierre Spicy Can Be High-Pivot Or Low-Pivot
$14,817.19 Canadian for the top build and it doesn’t come with sram t type ?!?! Jesus Christ !!! I know there’s a lot of people that don’t like wireless shifting but for me and probably a lot of others it’s a pre requisite for a bike in this price range. I also want carbon rims. There’s some pretty bad value with some high end builds , but this is the worst I’ve seen.
