@gdevins:No, please don't speak for everyone! When I ride up the mountain on my doorstep, I first have to ride up for 30-45 minutes on asphalt before I really get off-road. With an e-bike, I can do that in 10-15 minutes.
You mustn't forget that we don't all live in the same region. Here in the central Swiss Alps, for example, everything is actually very steep.
