I dont think I agree on the floor pump. If you use the same floor pump each time and the reading is repeatable. You don't need the pressure gauge. If you know say 20 Psi on this pump is a good pressure, and that turns out to be 21 Psi on a different gauge. So what? Its the repetition thats important. Since pressure is personal, its important to arrive at a repeatable result through experimentation anyway.

@RileyMarmesh: id also add to your very correct first point, ebikes have no speed limit either. You can pedal them unassisted at any speed you physically can, same speed as any other push bike ever.
People just sour when the assist goes they find out how weak their legs really are. Its not like the brakes suddenly engage when you are over the assist limit.

Is the UCI World Cup Prize Money Model Broken? Wyn Masters Exposes Payout Disparities
@wipperman95: isnt it well documented the UCI charge a team to enter? To the tune of up to 40k for the right to enter a UCI event? They are certainly not a charity and are certainly a money making organisation.
Edit** i just read they are registered as a non profit organisation, but a cursory glance at salaries etc demonstrates the point that its probably still a money making operation.

I wonder if one were to make a parallel series, what would the prize money need to be to attract the top teams away from the UCI and onto the new one.

@Djemaculate: no its a leverage ratio. So if its say at a point on the curve we have a ratio of 3. A 1mm movement of shock means a 3mm of wheel travel.
If the ratio is at 2, a 1mm shock movement means, yup you guessed right. 2mm
All thats left is for me to needlessly confess im an engineer and we can wrap up my comment there
