This is really interesting. You can fix the volume reduction of the air in the lower temperatures with higher pressures at room temperatures (or leaving the bike outside good luck).
The question is how behaviour the seals affect this picture in these temperatures.
I've only had like -15 to -20 degrees Celsius on my bike, and there the seals did not seem to have a negative effect.

Review: Factor Lando XC
The logic "XC racers run lower pressures, so 28 psi is too high" is obviously completely wrong. Same goes for "I'm running lower pressures, so 28 psi is too high".
People like Pidcock who can ride a bike fast uphill and downhill are very rare, and it seems none of them are on here.
If you run said tyres with low pressures you know at least one area where you can improve your riding.
