Is "Traditional" a Good Thing When It Comes to Wheels? - Pinkbike Poll
Here's a fun fact for you: any spoke that isn't a J bend type, is likely to be a design that is simply easier to machine build. Telling people they're better for other reasons is nonsense

Is "Traditional" a Good Thing When It Comes to Wheels? - Pinkbike Poll
The spoked wheel is one of the greatest inventions of all time (after the wheel itself obviously). The genius is transferring load through tension, not compression. As soon as you move away from this concept, things get compromised

Fashion vs. Fit: Is Longer Always Better? - Opinion
@Fix-the-Spade: yeah fair point actually. I was in Les Gets in 2004 and saw Fabien's Kona. I think it was Kona front triangle (probably from a size massive Stinky), but that's about it. The back end looked homemade and even the forks had little to do with Marzocchi other than being black. And yeah Peaty's, Brendan's and Marc's Oranges with the banana shaped swingarm weren't production - they were enormous!

Fashion vs. Fit: Is Longer Always Better? - Opinion
Whilst I totally agree with you (and am also 6'2"), oddly it's always tended to be taller guys on the DH race podiums. All I'm saying is being too big for your bike isn't really a racing disadvantage

Fashion vs. Fit: Is Longer Always Better? - Opinion
Lower BB's may work with shorter cranks. But I'm talking shorter than those currently available, like 150mm. I predict super short cranks could be the next trend about to come to mtb. Time Trial are looking at it at the moment. I read a study of crank lengths years ago. The summary of what I remember is over extension is bad for knees but there weren't any obvious disadvantages of using smaller cranks

BMC's New SpeedFox AMP eMTB - Bike Connection Winter 2018
@opignonlibre: sorry dude but you're quoting completely wrong figures. 250 is the nominal wattage. The max wattage from a Shimano 8000 is around 650-700 watts I think

BMC's New SpeedFox AMP eMTB - Bike Connection Winter 2018
@WAKIdesigns: yeah but there aren't many places in Europe that you can legally ride a KTM E-XC compared to an eBike, plus there's the annual tax and insurance. They're not very versatile either as they need a trailer to be brought to a track. They're hardly flying off the shelves. I bet KTM dealers are probably selling more eMTB's than eMoto's
