@tiffe: Yeah, I know. But i have wondered about how a a recovering bad back (Finn), recovering broken shoulder (Amaury), and recovering hip fracture (Dak) affect race pace comparatively. Amaury was back performing at top level within 2 weeks and Dak is getting consistently on top 10.
I know Finn has always been the top 5 racer for 3 seasons straight (3rd overall 2022, 4th overall 2023, 5th overall 2024). 2022 he missed two races due to injury but still manage 3rd. So, we know he is always a podium contender, but with his injury it looks like there's more than what we see.

@DC1988: I agree. Its a different thing to have three final race runs - Q1, Q2 and Finals - and I can imagine how taxing it is to most riders. Some seem to be getting after it though no mater the format.

I think he either had a crash or mechanical. He was no 9, almost there with Brosnan, in split 1 and from there looks like he made up his mind for Q2.
I am gutted too for him. For some reason he has not been able to convert his timed training results into qualifying. Frustrating as a fan. If you guys remeber his 2021 to 2024 season, he was almost always in the podium even in the quali's. I want that Finn back!

Man, the young talents these days are just amazing..All young guns making established riders very uncomfortable..That's how racing should be! No one's safe....there's no method or recipe...talent and the desire to just let it rip ...you gotta give all you got in you for those 3 minutes. The race DNA has really come out..that X factor....last year it was Amaury...this year its Jackson.

Did Finn Iles crash or hung up somewhere? we are used to seeing him always (mostly) on the top 5 for the last 2-3 seasons. I know he has a thumb injury but seeing him go to Q2 is surprising to say.
Also, great to see Greenland and Dak. Greenland was a podium threat every race but after his injury he is nowhere close to his riding potential.

Some bike nerd here needs to explain the kinematics different or any better. Yeah, its linkage driven single pivot, may be a bit similar to Evil suspension...blah..blah..blah. May be a real in-depth chat about the kinematics - how it make the initial stroke supple or give a supportive mid-stroke or how it can make it easy to tune suspension kinematics?

I can do some magic with data and make some AI predictions that teams can use. Then guide them on what analog/mechanical/human interventions they can make to see if that makes performance better. I charge decent amount for my skills. Any takers?

Frameworks DH Bikes Stolen in Milton Keynes, UK
This happen every year in multiple stops. I would have thought that the teams would have been more careful and not make it easy for people to drive off the van. This is me thinking out loud not being there but I don't know if the thieves are more sophisticated than some drunken goons.
